with what little notice he had of the party coming over, with an addition of eddie munson, steve decided to close family video early to buy some groceries in advance so he would have at least some snacks at his house.
he knew eddie would most likely expect steve to have beer at least, and thankfully he already had some in the fridge from a week or 2 ago.
so, he got everything ratty little preteens would need. coca-cola, popcorn, ice cream, pringles, smarties, nilla wafers, cheetos, and because dustin insisted, chocolate pudding.
'holy shit, these kids' hearts are gonna give out when they're 25.' robin mumbled, who had insisted on being at steve's too and unfortunately got stuck grocery shopping with him.
'shut up, i'm getting you strawberry poptarts.' steve rolled his eyes, checking out as robin continued to ramble about different movies she needed steve to watch with her.
later, they were laying in steve's living room splitting a package of the poptarts, which robin had already opened in the car on the drive back.
suddenly, a horn blared loudly outside and the both of them jumped in their seats.
'what the hell is wrong with them—' steve whined, getting up and opening his front door.
dustin, mike, lucas, and will all came in, gathering around the coffee table in the living room loudly talking as robin quickly moved her feet off of it just as they dropped the d&d box onto it.
steve sighed in amusement, still annoyed but glad all of them were together again.
although, something was different. they were all wearing the same baseball tee eddie had on the day before. 'hellfire club'.
'wait up! fuck,' eddie opened the drivers' seat door, hopping out of the car rather ungracefully as he grabbed his decorated dio jean vest out of the backseat.
steve opened the door more for eddie, his arm swinging out in an ironic invitation as he smiled sarcastically.
'casa harrington, welcome freak.' he said with a slight grin.
eddie walked in, pulling the vest on as his eyebrows raised at the large house. 'ho-ly shit, your parents are loaded. no wonder you have so many parties here.'
as eddie walked by, the familiar stench of weed followed him in.
'you stink,' steve's brows were drawn together in slight disgust at the strong aroma.
'what? oh-' eddie laughed, head falling back. 'yeah, sorry not sorry harrington. gonna have to get used to that.'
steve looked over, watching as they set up the dnd board in the other room and left a spot for eddie.
'you have any-'
'beer? in the fridge in there.' steve nodded towards the kitchen, eddie going in and seeing all the snacks on the counter.
'dustin! harrington got you chocolate pudding!' eddie said with a snort, getting 2 beers out of the fridge and walking over to steve just as dustin rushed into the kitchen.
eddie twisted the caps off easily, handing the other beer to steve as he joined the rest of them in the living room.
eddie sat down on the floor in his designated spot, which he always thought was funny they automatically made for him every time they set the board up.
