Jack

Today is my birthday... I'm officially old.

To be exact, I'm 327, but I look great for my age.

You might be thinking, how am I still alive? Well, let me tell you, I should have died when I was 17, but something happened, something changed.

I didn't die that day, instead I woke up and no one could see me, hear me, or touch me. I have never figured out what happened... all I know is that since that day, I've been 17 for 310 years.

Elsa

My eyes fluttered open, I spread my arms out beside me, feeling the soft, empty sheets on my bed. I sat up, put my slippers on, and walked to my vanity desk. I looked on my calendar, December 6th, just another day, I drew a big X through December 5th, marking the passing of one more day.

I sighed and slumped down on the chair beside the desk, life seemed so pointless, I'm the Queen of Arendelle, yet I can't even go outside.

I heard quiet knocks on my door, which slightly startled me.

" Elsa? Are you awake? I brought you breakfast, " I heard the soft voice of my sister Anna.

I looked at the door, tears threatening to fall, I wanted to respond... but I can't, I can't let her know.

This happens every morning, I never respond, yet Anna doesn't give up on me.

It's been this way for almost a year, ever since my parents died. I don't even know how I manage to stay sane, I mean my room is big, but not big enough to never get bored. I try to sleep most of the day, but I have to wake up eventually. Every morning I hope when I wake up everything is different, but that only happens in fairy tales.

" Okay, I'll leave it right by your door in case you get hungry. I'm going to the library, bye, " I heard Anna say as she walked away.

She does this every morning too. She leaves the tray at my door, says she's going somewhere, but actually hides around the corner and watches my door.

The tears were falling over my eyelids now, but I didn't try to stop them, instead I let them fall down my face.

Frost started to coat the floor, it slowly started to creep up the legs of my chair.

A crackling noise startled me, causing me to look to my right. Frost was forming on my window, starting at the top and moving to the bottom.

I gasped, I must be getting worse, the frost and ice always radiate and spread around me. This was different... this was strange. My window was across the room and the frost started at the top.

I stood up and cautiously walked toward the window, I sat on the bench underneath it. This should be worrying me, but right now I was just curious. I placed my hands on the window, but I didn't feel the frost, just the coolness of it... the frost was on the outside?

While I sat there wondering how this was possible, I heard the smearing of someone's fingers on glass. I looked up... I rubbed my eyes and looked again, I blinked a couple times to make sure my eyes were working, and I pinched myself... to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

I climbed on top of the bench to get a clearer look. I couldn't believe my eyes, in the frost, though backwards, I could still read one word,
