Everyday would start out normal, Iris would eat breakfast with her parents. Her father would head to work, and her mother would assign her homework. At around noon, as far as she could tell, she would suddenly be transported to Heaven.
The god man guy always had some form of weird training for her to do, some of it mental. Such as learning how to speak different languages. Some of it was also physical, like sword fighting, dagger throwing, wrestling, etc.
After completing her training, she would be sent back to the exact moment in time that she left. She never bothered telling her parents any of this, for two reasons. One she thought they wouldn't believe her, and for two the god man has told her not to. He had said something like..
"They are mortals. They would not be able to comprehend the importance of what you are doing."
She didn't trust him, but she had no choice other than to do what he said. A year had passed when god finally said..
"Today will be a little bit different. You are going to be practicing combat with your darker counterpart."
"My darker counterpart. What the heck is that!?"
"Language child, Language! You'll see soon enough."
Iris was dressed in a white smock with a golden chest plate fitted snuggly. It was heavy but necessary for training. In her right hand she wielded a short sword. Despite her short stature, her little muscles had become more defined. She was definitely stronger than any mortal eight year old. She rolled her eyes.
"Well tell this darker counterpart to hurry up. I'm tired."
As if he heard her, in the whiteness a pitch black cylinder erupted from the floor. The contrast in color from the whiteness of Heaven was blinding. Suddenly it was gone, where it had been was a dark haired boy standing. His arms were crossed and his eyes were closed. God stepped forward.
"Lucifer my boy, how have you been?"
The boy looked up, Iris gasped. His eyes were ruby red, it was the strangest thing she had ever seen, and that was saying a lot. The boy made direct eye contact with her, she held his gaze.
She wasn't going to yield, this boy didn't look much older than she was. Much less taller. Sure the red eyes were a tad scary, but that wasn't important. The boy smirked, his two front canines were a bit sharper than the average humans. He looked up at god.
"I have been doing well sir. How are you?"
God chuckled.
"I am doing very well indeed. I'll cut to the chase and officially introduce you two. Iris step forward."
She did, although a bit more stubbornly than usual. The boy stared at her.
"Introduce yourself Iris, you're being rude."
"Hi."
She said very coldly. She held out her hand to shake. He took her hand flipped it and kissed the back of it. She yanked her hand back.
"What the H E double Hockey sticks! That's gross!"
She wiped her hand on her smock. She felt a divine flick on her forehead. God glared at her.
"He is being a nice gentleman. You need to start being more lady like. As far as H E double Hockey sticks goes, you're not far off."
She looked at him confused, then looked back at the boy. He bowed his head slightly and said in a commanding voice.
"My name is Lucifer, and I'm from Hell."
