Just like a dream

"Alright everyone, turn back to me "

I got put my bag on my desk and then go back to the front of the class

"Before I start, if Dustin and his friends in the back would mind turning back to me it would be better, I say

He turn without noticing me and mumble something :

"What was that, dusty bun ?

At the hear of this nickname, he quickly raise his head to meet my eyes and finally recognizes me

"Nina ? What are you doing here ? "

Ignoring his question, I say to the class :

"Now that i got everyone's attention, I'm Nina Henderson and I'll be your history teacher for the rest of the year

I let the information process and continue

"If you were asking yourself, yes I am related to Dustin Henderson, the boy in the back of the class, I am his sister in law. I don't know how we both ended up in the same class, him as my student or me as his teacher but I guess they had no other choice so I'll do with it. I'm 22 so I'm a fresh new teacher, this is my first year of activity so you can imagine how hard is was to convince everyone that I was worthy but I think the lack of teachers convinced them.

At the end of my words, someone knock on the door :

"Enter, I say ready to face the principal but instead of him a well known face appear

"Hi, sorry I'm late, I was just...

He stops his sentence when recognizing me

"- New girl ? What are you doing at the teacher place ? Are you pretending to be him ? Weird and cool. Good thing he's not arrived yet, I don't wanna be blame on the first day, he says while walking to a place to seat.

- Jason, go back to the door. No one told you, you could enter. And stop treating me like I'm one of your next victim. For you it'll be Miss Henderson, I'm your new history teacher.

- What you're a teacher ? I thought you were a student

- Yeah I saw that, now go back to the door.

He waits few seconds until finally do it.

"- You're gonna tell what you did that made you late. Because if I remember well 5 minutes before the bell, we met in the hallway. You made sure that I understood who you were.
After that you could have just done the same that I did, which means go to class but apparently you had something more important

- I'm really sorry about what happened, I thought...

- Yeah ? You thought I was one of those poor new students that you could terrorized?

His face falls so that he might start crying

Maybe I went too far ?

"You know what, we'll have to discuss about this, but it's okay, I've been a teenager, I'm sorry for what I say but I hope you understood what I meant. Now go take a seat but don't bother me or you are really gonna hear from me. And this count for everyone.

And just like that, my first day of my new life in Hawkins started. It feel good to be back.
