The Newcomer

Chapter 15

      Dedun's Place...
 
  After she did all her assignment, she decided to read her books but it wasn't entering her head. She put it aside and was waiting for her Parents to come back while Dele her cousin was fast asleep, so she didn't bother because there was light.
    She waited for her parents but they had not gotten home yet and the time was already past ten and as far as she is concerned she can't cheat nature so she has no choice but to sleep and tell them about everything when she wakes up the following day.

  Not long after she slept, she started hearing noises from outside. Her room was cold and all her books and Novels that was kept neatly in the shelves were all scattered. The noise became more hunting and Dedun was so scared, she tried screaming and shouting for help but it wasn't working. Suddenly, she disappeared from her room and she met herself in a pool of blood, then she appeared in her room again and then she appeared in another place where people with scary faces were drinking blood from human body and she appeared in another place where another people with scary faces were after her. She couldn't bear it any longer, and she forced herself to scream, she screamed and screamed until she started feeling someone jerking her and trying hard for her to wake up.
  "Dedun! Dedun! It is me your daddy, wake up", her dad said to her but she wasn't yet in reality, she was still screaming. Her dad had to go to her bathroom, he took water and he poured it on her. Immediately she stood up, she was panting with sweat all over her body. She saw her Dad and just went to hug him.
   "Everything is fine, you hear", He assured her.
    "Yes sir", she said with a shaky voice.
    "What of Mummy?", she asked her dad. "There was an emergency in the hospital and since your mum is an expert in the aspect of operation, so she was called to come back with immediate effect but don't worry, everything is fine," he said still hugging her tight. "But daddy I can't stay alone in my room, Will you stay with me or should I come to your room?" She asked her dad.
"What's wrong Dedun?, why did you become suddenly scared in your room or have you been having nightmares lately?", Her dad asked.
  "None of the above", she replied.
  "Dad just please, stay with me. Okay let confess, I'm scared of staying alone", she squeezed out.
  "Why?" He questioned
"It is a long story but tomorrow I will tell you, that's after I tell mum though", she said to him and her father agreed.

   Even though she is very close to her Dad, but things like this, she prefers telling her Mum because she knew she would understand than her father would.
