I always wanted to know what it felt like to be in love with someone.
I dreamed since I was a little girl that one day I would meet someone for whom I would give everything. Someone who would make me feel complete. Someone with whom I would share everything, a life partner, my best friend.
And with that, the same fear was always there. The fear of losing the person I loved the most. Because how was I supposed to live after that?
I fell to my knees in front of the cliff, and if it wasn't for the fury that held me back, I would have thrown myself down to try to save Caelus.
Caelus, my Caelus.
I would never see his blue eyes again, never hear his voice, never feel his touch against my skin.
I couldn't bear it.
This was wrong, it shouldn't have been this way.
Nothing in me could be controlled, so my magic simply exploded.
Golden bolts of lightning spread from my skin, trying to reach the bottom of the waterfall, to rescue him, to save the man I loved.
Fury threw me backwards.
'Control yourself child, control yourself or his sacrifice will be in vain.'
I couldn't. The pain was too much.
My magic was out of control.
'Child...'
Lightning focused on the sky and struck directly at it.
I wanted to awaken the Gods to tell them how angry I was.
Why were they putting me through this? Why did I have to endure this pain? It wasn't fair. It couldn't end like this.
I screamed at them in rage, firing all my magic into the sky, lighting up every corner of the Kingdom of Fire.
The fury drew back, looking at me with a mixture of fear and admiration.
For my lightning began to turn a different colour.
