I think the best way to describe the girl who landed in front of me is with the word: fairy.

Yes, a fairy as I had never seen before, flying through the air and having perfect control of her wings. Pink wings that shone so brightly that I had a feeling that if I saw them for too long I would go blind.

But that was not only what I noticed about this girl, I beheld her incandescent beauty. The most golden hair I had ever seen in my life and perfectly light blue eyes, so light blue they looked like glass. She was wearing beautiful purple pants and a shirt of the same color, slightly lighter. Her boots came up to her knee.

With a grin from ear to ear she said to me:

With a grin from ear to ear she said to me:

'So, didn't you want to see him? Come on, follow me,' her wings started flapping very fast and she took flight, 'oh, right, I forgot, ordinary humans can't do anything special. I guess you'll have to follow me then, because I won't stain my boots for you. And I would recommend you, sweetie, take care of that sack, nothing belongs to you once you enter our Kingdom.'

And so she flew away.

I had to react as fast as I could, asking Lightning to make one last effort.

We passed through a large stone archway, one of the few things that had endured and could still be identified by its shape. Once we crossed that archway, everything that seemed empty suddenly came alive.

Thousands of people passed by us, men, women, children, dressed in every possible way, some in leather, others in pure rags. They were shouting and passing by selling things, exchanging food, clothing. Many stalls were eager to offer whatever they could. I gripped my sack tightly. I didn't want to think the worst of those people, but I wasn't going to trust too much.

We continued galloping among them until we reached what seemed to be the entrance to the castle. But that was not the end of the road. The fairy was still flying, so we continued on our way, past the castle and when we crossed it....

'Holy Gods.'

There were not a few, but thousands, thousands of tents spread out all over the grounds that were shielded from view by the ruins of the castle.

How many people had been displaced from their Kingdoms?

I didn't think it was just Caelus and company, but I didn't think it would be that many either.

Beyond the tents, the sea loomed like a new friend I had long hoped to meet. I had never seen it before, but it looked just as I had imagined, strong, intimidating, beautiful.

It was impossible not to attract the attention of those outside the tents, who watched me curiously as I passed among them.

If the magic had returned, why were they still here?

The fairy stopped her flight right in front of the largest tent there.

I assumed it was the central tent, so I continued on my way, ignoring the curious and interested glances of the inhabitants of that Kingdom.
