After that embarrassing display. It was time to gather information. So Aizawa sat down on the edge again, Shigaraki doing the same, slightly closer this time but still keeping a distance. Finally having a question, Aizawa begun.

"How-"

"Do you-"

They both stopped speaking. Aizawa made a notion with his hand, telling him to continue. Shigaraki scratched the bandage, regretting speaking.

"Do you, well... Like video games?"

"Well... I've never really had the time to play them. Just went to an arcade once while in school."

That seemed to be good enough as Shigaraki seemed a bit more relaxed. Even a bit happier.

"I see."

Awkward silence yet again.

"So, you wanted to ask something?"

"Oh, right. Well... How did you become a villain?"

Silence again, but not an awkward one. Just a dreadful one. Great job, Shouta. You could've asked anything else but no. You went for the uncomfortable topic. Shigaraki spoke after a while.

"And you? Why did you become a hero? I'm sure that people didn't quite like your quirk, so why?"

So he won't answer the question. Shouta didn't really like talking about himself. But maybe doing so will make Shigaraki open up more.

"... I wasn't sure of becoming a hero... That's all I'll tell you."

"What? Really? You're gonna leave me in suspense?"

Although he said that, Shigaraki didn't press on. Aizawa was relieved at that. He was planning on asking another question, but Shigaraki beat him to it.

"I... hate a lot of things."

Aizawa stayed quiet.

"Heroes. Families. Quirks. Buildings. It all pisses me off."

Shigaraki looked at his hands.

"I... Want to destroy everything that pisses me off. With my own hands."

He glanced at Aizawa. Finding his expression neutral relieved him.

"But. You don't piss me off."

Aizawa couldn't help the shocked look that passes through his face.

"It's strange. They only thing I really liked, or just didn't want to destroy was video games. But, as I learned more about you through my hero studies. After the USJ by stalking you... I realized I didn't want to destroy you. I just... Wanted to know more about you."

Shigaraki moved his hand, taking father away and setting it down beside him. He looked at Aizawa, expecting the disgusted or terrified face people always give him.

But Aizawa, just seemed shocked? Well, I don't think that's any better. His eyes wandered to the side, not wanting his expectation to be crushed.

"And... Well, being a villain just... Gives me a chance to destroy everything."

Let's just go with that. Mentioning sensei is stupid. He moved his head forward, letting the breeze hit his face. When was the last time he took fresh air?

Since I'm always in my room or in the bar, I haven't even seen the sun in a while. Shigaraki closed his eyes and breathed deeply at the moonlight air.

While Aizawa, just stared at him. At his baby blue hair that scattered away from his face when the wind hit. At the scars over his forehead and the one over his lips. How did he get them? Was it All for One?

Aizawa couldn't bring himself to ask, not wanting to break this weird, yet peaceful silence. But Shigaraki broke it.

"Sorry... About using your kids against you. I didn't enjoy it i just wanted to talk with you for a bit. But we don't have to do this. I know there's a lot at risk for you. Well, both of us. So, we won't see each other again like this again."

For some reason, Aizawa didn't like that. He wanted to know more, talk and understand Tomura. It's dangerous for his hero career, and it's something he's not planning on ever risking. But there's ways I can get around it. But Shigaraki will also be in danger...

"Shigaraki."

He turned to Aizawa. Seeing how he didn't look disgusted or avoided eye contact, made him happy.

"You said a week, and you would never attack my kids. It was a deal I accepted. And I'm completing my end of the deal. You should do the same."

Shigaraki giggled, his big, silly smile completely piercing Aizawa's heart.

"You'll do anything for your kids, huh? Eraserhead?"

"Aizawa."

"Huh?"

He ignored his beating heart. Succeeding in keeping his face the same as always.

"Call me Aizawa."
