I gasped and lowered my camera as I saw the sign propped up against the tree. Tears began welling in my eyes as I heard Aaron snickering behind me. The sign read:
Sarah, I love you more than life itself. Please be mine forever?
My heart was racing, and tears were streaming down my face as I turned around to face the guys. Aaron and Nick were both holding their cameras up, still filming, and Zak was in front of me kneeling holding the most beautiful ring I had ever seen.
"Sarah, meeting you was the best thing that had ever happened to me. I know it's only been nearly a year, but I love you more than anything in this world and I would like to make you mine forever. Will you do me the great honor of becoming my wife?" Zak asked me, a bright smile on his face.
"Yes." I whimpered out as tears were streaming down my face.
Zak put the beautiful black diamond ring on my left hand as I set the camera down on the ground, and then he picked me up and twirled me around while kissing me ever so sweetly.
"SHE SAID YES!" Aaron shouted into the camera as Nick was laughing behind him.
I couldn't take my lips off of Zak because of the pure joy I was feeling, but Aaron barged inbetween us to give us both a hug, ultimately breaking us apart. While we were all hugging, I heard Tatiana's voice in my head.
Congratulations, miss.
I smiled to myself, still feeling like I was on cloud nine. I couldn't believe that the man of my dreams asked me to marry him, and my mind was already reeling with wedding thoughts.
"Wait, is that what you were hiding from me?" I asked Zak as I bent down to pick up the camera.
"Yes. I told you you would find out eventually." Zak said as he bopped me on the nose.
"You're a jerk, Aaron. You're supposed to tell your best friend!"
"Hey! Don't blame me! I was doing my duty as a best friend to both you and Zak." Aaron said with a laugh at me.
I stuck my tongue out at him, causing Nick to laugh at my immaturity. I just shook my head and giggled under my breath, looking down at the beautiful black and silver ring that Zak just put on my left hand. I kept smiling to myself, and felt a strong arm wrap around my waist.
"I can't wait for forever with you." Zak whispered into my ear.
"Neither can I. Hopefully you got us our own private room at the hotel." I replied with a smirk.
Zak raised his eyebrows at me, and although it was dark outside, I could tell his cheeks were a bright pink as he understood what I was talking about.
"Sure did." He responded to me as he placed a soft kiss on top of my head.
I smiled up at him as I turned my camera back on to finish the investigation.
"I hope you both know that I am totally editing that into the episode." Nick said as he brushed past us and back inside the house.
When we got back in, I sat at the top of the stairs with a blue ball in hand, ready to place it strategically on the stairs so I could communicate with Ophelia again. I closed my eyes after I placed the ball on the stair well, trying to call Ophelia to me.
Miss Sarah?
I heard a tiny voice call out to me as I tried to make contact with her. I smiled to myself and softly responded to her.
"Yes, Ophelia. It's me. You're safe here. Do you want to come out and talk to us? I brought you a ball to play with. If you want to talk to me will you knock it down the stairs?" I asked her sweetly.
I looked down at the ball sitting a step below me as it started to roll and bounce down the stairs. I smiled.
"Very good, Ophelia!" I praised her.
I want to be away from here. Can I come with you?
"Unfortunately, no you cannot come with me. But, I can help you get out of this home but you have to listen to everything I say, okay?" I said to her as I kept my position at the top of the stairs.
Okay I can do that.
"I need you to look around the room where you are. Do you see a bright light anywhere?"
Yes. But, father always tells me to stay away from it because its dangerous there.
"He is lying to you, sweetheart. I need you to look into the light you see and walk towards it. It is a safe place to be."
"Watching her is absolutely amazing." I heard Zak softly say as I stood up from the stairs and walked down them to where the ball was now resting.
I'm almost there Miss Sarah. What happens when I reach it?
"Walk through the doorway that it is coming from. Once you do you will be out of this house forever. No more scary things and people will bother you again." I softly said to her as I stood in the middle of the room, the guys surrounding me.
Okay, I'm here. Goodbye Miss Sarah. Thank you for helping me.
"You're welcome, Ophelia. Goodbye sweetie." I softly said as I picked up the ball.
As I picked up the ball, I felt the child's presence disappear from the room, and it was then strangely quiet.
"She's gone." I said, happy tears filling my eyes at the thought that I helped this beautiful little girl get out of this hell hole of a house where her murderer still resided.
"That's a good thing, Sarah. Why are you crying?" Zak asked me as he wiped the tears off of my face.
"Not sad tears. I'm glad I could get her to move on away from the psycho that killed her." I replied to him as he smiled down at me.
"Well, sun is starting to rise. That's our cue to get out of here." Nick said as he shut off his camera, the other three of us following his lead.
We all walked out to the van, put the equipment away and began our drive to the hotel so we could sleep. Well Aaron and Nick would be sleeping. I can't say the same for Zak and I.
