Whispers

Shinso was studying for his English test. Tomorrow was going to be a busy day with a math, english and literature test. All the first three class periods, so he has no breaks

The world was dying to punish the insomniac purplette. He just wanted to study and sleep.

Just study and sleep. That's it. He swears.

He swears

Rubbing his eyes, his lack of gracefullness in standing up caused his chair to screech as it was pushed back from the desk. Shinso groaned at the loud, annoying noise.

Can't sounds just shut up for once in their life?

He just wants quiet.

This includes muted people.

Gosh he wished he had a quirk that made sounds cease to exist for a nice twenty four hour period.

But alas, he got a combination of a truth detecting quirk from his uncle, part of a telepathic quirk from his grandma and an unknown mental quirk from his mother.

His mother never talked about her quirk, other than it was a mental one and she was never treated with kindness due to its destructive nature. Which was a shame because one, she didn't deserve that treatment, and two, Shinso was dying to know what his mother's quirk was.

Yet he didn't push because he knew there was some form of upsetting memories derived from talking about her quirk.

Slowly, he moved away from his desk and walked to his dorm room's door. He needed more coffee in order to focus. It is a necessity at this point.

He is so off on his  sleep schedule that he has to have coffee a minimum of seven times a day--preferably more.

He turned into the Gen Ed kitchen and was surprised to see quite a few teachers huddled up in the corner. He hesitantly continued, choosing to ignore their chit chat.

The talking slowed as Aizawa turned his head to watch Shinso set up the coffee machine by pressing buttons.

"Shinso, make me one too." He said bluntly. Feathering his words would be illogical.

Shinso jumped slightly, getting goosebumps running up and down his arms. He was surprised by the teacher acknowledging him as well as bluntly asking something of him.

He didn't expect to be noticed.

But nonetheless he nodded and hummed a yes.

Turning back around, Aizawa faced his posse. The group included a subdued Midnight, Vlad, Mic and Cementos.

The rest Aizawa could care less about, but these were the main four that he needed to talk to. They resumed talking at a whispering level.

"So why did the commission send the letters out? Why now? For the first years?" Kayama emphasized. The first years had already been through enough, right? Now the Hero Commission was on their backs? That's overdoing it a little. Besides, the Commission was known for it's…questionably ethical means of going about things.

"I don't know. But they're splitting up the classes, only asking for a few here and there. It's unusual and concerning." Aizawa voiced his opinions.

"Yo, I totally agree. The Hero Commission is totally not being rad right now. What the Little Listeners' need is rest, not non-stop training." Yamada spoke up, his voice louder than necessary.

Quirk drawbacks suck when it makes people loud.

Shinso fought off the urge to roll his eyes at the barely audible whispers leading into his English teacher's whisper-yells. The voice hero literally couldn't stay quiet even if his life depended on it.

Slowly, Shinso moved his cup to the side and slid to the right cabinet. Grabbing a clean mug, he started making Aizawa's long awaited coffee. While it was processing, Shinso began sipping his own mug. Afterall, he felt he deserved it.

He ignored the teachers and continued reviewing his English study guide in his head. In order to maintain his spot in the Gen Ed course, he needed to keep higher than a low C in the class.

In reality, he was being too hard on himself. But he already harbored guilt due to his failure at getting into the hero course, so he pushed himself to ensure he stayed at UA. Afterall, it would be harder to transfer to the Hero Course if he was pushed to a different school because of something as silly as bad grades.

The coffee maker beeped and he removed the mug and pressed the button to turn the machine off. He picked up both mugs, Aizawa's mug secured in his right hand.

He was ambidextrous so honestly it didn't matter which hand he used, but the right felt better in this situation.

Making his way to the cluster of teachers, he notices the raven haired man hold his hand out, awaiting his mug of liquid gold. He carefully places the beige mug in his teacher's hand before sauntering out of the kitchen and making his way to his room once more.

He was nervous about the tests. But he still had approximately seven hours until school started, so if he played his time right, he could still get ten minutes of sleep by tomorrow morning.
