By the time the group made it to the Staff Dormitory, the students were thoroughly confused. Especially so when Aizawa unlocked the door and then ushered them all inside.
Todoroki and Shoji took their time analyzing the spacious, kinda monotone dorms from their spot in the entrance hall. Midoriya was blatantly too exhausted to keep his head up, much less look around the new environment. He trusted his teacher. And he trusted his friends, so he didn't feel the need to stay on high alert. He did, however, find enough energy to push off Aoyama so the latter could walk around to quell his bubbling curiosity.
Midnight made sure to step closer to the greenette in case he fell so she could easily catch him.
Voices could be heard around the corner of the entrance hall. Aizawa made no notion to stop his determined, yet slow, saunter into the Common Room. The four teens followed behind him like ducks.
Once inside the room, Aizawa walked in front of the television that was playing a late night comedy Game-show. A couple groans were heard from the couch, as he blocked the onlookers' views.
Shoji and Aoyama, ever the curious teens, peaked their heads around the couch. Shoji waved at the occupants.
"Hello!" Came Shoji's shy voice.
"Mes Amies!" Aoyama exclaimed exuberantly, deciding to plop himself down on the couch in between Monoma and Mei. Shoji was more hesitant and situated himself on the other side of the couch, next to Soda and Kodai.
Midoriya found himself slowly stepping forward and seating himself on the opposite couch where there was more room next to Shinso and Shiozaki. Todoroki followed lead.
Aizawa watched as all the students settled down, nodding at Midnight who turned off the television.
Monoma and Soda groaned.
Aizawa made eye contact with all the kids before clearing his throat. "The events and ideals the Commission are trying to press are highly illogical and supremely problematic. Nezu, among other members of the staff are working on gathering intel on what will be happening while you are in their facility and searching for loopholes to get you all out. But because we are currently unable to interfere much at the moment, it is imperative that you ten are able to trust and rely on each other. Especially because you are the only people you can trust within the facility. Tonight, you will spend the night getting to learn about each other and at least accepting each other's company. Tomorrow morning we will escort you back to your rooms to finish packing before you say goodbye to your classmates." Aizawa said, voice montonouniously downcast.
Midoriya gulped, anxiety causing his shoulder and legs to twitch. Aoyama clapped after the speech while Monoma rolled his eyes and both Shinso and Todoroki observed the room.
"And I'm here to help lead the discussion! So icebreaker question time!" Midnight exclaimed in a sing-song voice, clapping her hands excitedly.
Aizawa watched the students--his students–from the corner of the common room. He knew that they didn't truly understand what was happening, heck they were all probably still coming to terms with recent events.
But giving them all a baseline of bonding would help them survive the Commission. And whatever the corrupt group decided to throw at minors.
Aizawa grit his teeth.
A firm hand on his shoulder made him snap his head to the right, scarf twitching. He calmed ever so slightly when he noticed it was just Hound Dog, who had decided to stand and watch the kids as well.
Monoma's intense laughter ricocheted around the room, followed by Aoyama and Mei's a moment later.
"It's a good start." Hound Dog commented, voice low so the teens didn't hear. "They won't all get along--some are not easily trusting, others scared of failure, a couple simply don't know how to interact pleasantly…"
Aizawa scoffed and rolled his eyes ever so slightly. Both teachers knew Monoma was a bit of a handful.
"They'll grow to tolerate each other." He said, gruff voice still quiet.
Aizawa, getting annoyed at the sweaty hand on his shoulder, shrugged it off. He then rolled his arm as if to expel any remains of the contact. "They need to do more than just tolerate each other." He grumbles, taking a step away from the therapist and in the direction of the kitchen.
"They're kids, they don't understand the Commission's roundabout ways yet. We can't force their brains to fully comprehend something that ninety percent of the population can't wrap their heads around. Kids will always be kids." Hound Dog commented, walking towards Aizawa. The comment seemed oddly off...
Different from how Inui usually was.
Aizawa knew Inui. And he knew the Therapist's train of thought…but even then, Aizawa also knew the limitations of Inui's knowledge.
The mutant quirked therapist was raised under a…specific branch of the Commission. Therefore he was and is kept in the dark.
Or so he thinks.
Aizawa knew better. He knew the lies Inui grew to loathe, the same lies the Commission always spouted off. So why was Inui acting this way?
He let his anger eat him up, professionalism cast aside momentarily.
The raven haired main whipped his head around, hair rising like flames and eyes changing to a burning red. He had an angry sneer plastered on his face, eyebrows scrunched in a way that showed his true emotions. "They are children. They shouldn't have to understand what kind of absolute hell the Hero Commission is going to put them though. As heros and teachers, we are supposed to protect our students--who are civilians in the eyes of the law--from harm. Physically and mentally."
"The Hero Commission is giving them learning experience." Was the bland, emotionless retort. The therapist stepped closer to Aizawa, almost as if trying to display the importance of his diction. His word's power."The Hero Commission is going to put innocent children through hell."
"Stop repeating nonsense! The Commission would never put children in harm's way." Hound Dog spit out, shoulders tense. The two teachers were less than inches apart, staring daggers into each other's soul. Neither willing to back down and neither willing to give up.
Aizawa's scarf tightened, as if it was gearing up to spring into action.
"Of course you are the one who says this, you mutt." He spit, before his scarf slammed into Hound Dog's chest, pushing the bulky therapist away. The man stumbled backwards, falling on his bum, where he was left watching as his previous friend and coworker walked off, out of the room.
You mutt
"You mutt..."
"You mutt! . . . can't follow. . . Orders. . . complete. . .obedience, then. . . another. . .failed attempt. . . ."
