Mei was upset. She was being practically given to the Commission with no regard for her babies. How could they survive if she was unable to hold them and help them get stronger?
She stomped back to Powerloader's classroom and started working on more of her babies. The idea of leaving UA and being forced to go with the Commission was stressful. And Mei did not like stress.
Power Loader walked out of his office to analyze what the commotion was, yet flinched when he saw the raging girl. Slowly, he backed into his classroom once more and began to close the door softly.
He usually would inform students that they needed to leave the labs once school let out unless they booked an after school timeframe, but he knew how stressed Mei must be after the Commission's announcement. After half a year had passed, one thing Power Loader knew for sure was that Mei hated changes. Specifically with major plans or environments. And the Commission's plan not only includes taking students from their peers, but also relocating the groups to a holding facility as they are monitored and restricted.
So for another couple of hours, Power Loader would allow Mei to work within the lab to release stress. Afterall, she was oddly efficient with her work and made less silly, prone to blowing up, mistakes when under pressure.
At the Class 1A dorms, it was quiet. Nearly too quiet to be good. But they were in shock. Four of their classmates would be forced into the Commission's custody because they were assumed to most likely be the traitor.
As if in a daze, the class maneuvered back to the dorms for their small break. Shoji and Midoriya were among the last couple to go inside. Almost immediately, they were met with Iida who was reminding the class to not pester the chosen students.
But his words had no effect as Midoriya and Shoji went to their separate rooms. They could barely wrap their heads around the simple fact that the Commission thought they were traitors.
Midoriya wanted to know why. After just recently getting a quirk, training, and making friends while in the process of becoming a full-time hero, why was everything being ripped away from his grasp? But this time it was different in comparison to middle school. Back then, he had no quirk, no friends, and he had absolutely no foundation to become a hero on. But All Might had given him One for All. And to a quirkless child, that gift was like a beggar receiving gold.
He knew could be a great hero because of All Might.
But now he felt doubts seep into his soul.
