"Come just as you are to me
Don't need apologies
Know that you are worthy
I'll take your bad days with your good
Walk through the storm, I would."~*~
I had just left Kinn's room after my daily reporting, and I breathed a sigh of relief.
"It was intense," I muttered, still hearing his unhappy voice in my ears.
Quickly I walked over to the bodyguard section and sighed loudly as I sat at the table with Arm and Pol. They were eating breakfast in a hurry before starting their shift to guard master Tankhun. Before, I would have given a lot to be able to change jobs, as I was his bodyguard myself, but now I only dreamed of spending the whole day watching dramas. I moved my stiff back and they both looked at me sympathetically.
"How badly it is to follow Vegas?" Arm asked, and Pol shuddered comically.
"Imagine following the devil incarnate! Pete, you have nerves of steel!"
I wanted to laugh out loud. I don't know how many times I was a laughing stock to Mr. Vegas with my poor hiding skills. I was hopeless at my task, but he pretended not to know that I was following him. And they called him the devil?
"Well, what is he like?" Both leaned towards me, and the night from three days ago flashed before my eyes.
My lips twitched as if they could still feel his warmth and rough, working tongue on them. I blushed and Arm looked at me more closely and was about to add something when someone threw a plate full of food in front of my face. Porsche collapsed in the chair next to me, also laying down his meal, and without a word began to eat.
I breathed a sigh of relief, because I had the impression that just a moment longer, and I will shout out to them everything that has happened recently and ask them for advice. Perhaps it would not be a bad idea, if not for the fact that any relations with minor family are forbidden in our circle. I probably wouldn't have survived if such information had reached Kinn.
I looked at Porsche, who was dissatisfied for some reason, and grabbed the spoon, scooping a lot of rice on it. So many things has changed in our kitchen since the two of them started to be together secretly, but better, more spicy food it's one of the few things I owe to their relationship.
"Bro, you're good?" I muttered to him, but he shot me an not in front of others look and focused on eating.
Soon after, Arm and Pol disappeared down the hall, running towards the Tankhun's rooms, and I looked questioningly at my friend.
"Come on, let's have a smoke," he asked as he pushed his empty plate aside and we went out into the garden. "God damn it!"
I heard the muffled anger in his voice, but I didn't push. I knew if Porsche wanted to share something with me, he would. Forcing him to do anything has always resulted in more problems. So we stood there, smoking, and he cursed loudly.
"Will you believe that asshole, that fucking I am the mafia boss, buffalo" he began suddenly, and I focused on his words, "still has a phone with pictures of his ex?"
I raised my eyebrows in shock because I couldn't remember Kinn being in a relationship right before Porsche. Once upon a time, a few years ago, there was someone who owned his heart, but used him all the time.
"Tawan?" I asked, because that's the only name that popped out of my memories.
Porsche narrowed his eyes and took a long drag.
"So you know this motherfucker too?"
I quickly denied it, assuring him that I only knew the name.
"But Porsche," I began to reassure my friend. "Everyone has a past, and I heard that this Tawan was a real monster. It's not so easy to forget someone who has deeply hurt us."
