"So, what do you think this means for the community?"
"Well, Kyoko-san, Alchemi has been a notable hero for years now! Even before her debut, as a hero-in-training, she was hauling villains into the prison-hold and putting out fires like a pro! To have her suddenly leave is surprising to say the least, and I'm sure people are wondering if this will be harmful in the long run. But Hawks gave a statement for his coworker and assured us all, crime in Kyushu, and Japan, will continue to stay down, and if not, decrease!"
"Well said, Sato-san. It is a wonder though, to have someone just disappear from the limelight, and just two years into their professional career! I'm sure there are many people wondering what in the world happened."
"Ha-ha, Kyoko-san, I'm sure the gossip columns will be raving for a while about this. But! We can only speculate."
"Yes of course... Well folks, we'll conclude this morning with those questions in our head. What happened to Alchemi? And where is she now? We'll be back after the break."

Yurina pulled up at a gas station. While filling up her car, she pulled out her phone and dialed the number she knew would pick up.
"....*click*... Hello?"
"Hi Ma."
"Rina-chan?"
"Ma, I'm coming over for a bit."
"Today?"
"Is that okay?" Yurina heard some shuffling and a little thump before the motherly voice returned.
"Yes! Yes, it's perfectly fine. Is this just a girl's day? Or can the uncles come for dinner?" Yurina felt herself smiling. She had missed the voice of her mother, even if the woman was on the news just yesterday.
"Uncles can come." Yurina said, standing up. Her mother continued talking, already planning dinner. "Mhmm, okay. I love you too."
Yurina hung up the phone, adjusting the pair of shades over her eyes. It was cloudy, but she never felt comfortable going out in public without some sort of covering on her face. In the car, there was a pack of black facemasks, and a black baseball cap. She leaned on one side of her hip; arms folded.
Keigo had helped her pack, escorting her to her car. "I'll miss you," he said, and Yurina knew that he was being genuine. Even if Keigo's eyes were always glimmering with mischief and mockery, she could see his golden eyes laced with worry at the corners. "I'll miss you more," she had said, before giving him one last hug before she left.
Now Yurina stared into her reflection from her car window. She felt naked without her hero mask, save for the large sunglasses covering half her face. Her waist-length black hair wasn't tied up, with her curtain bangs gently brushing against her sunglasses in the breeze. With the amount of clothing she covered herself with, Yurina kept a rather pale complexion. She used to tan more when she was a child, but those days were gone, and she had paled in her dark attire. She bore the same sharp eyes that her real mother had; at least according to the photos she had been given. She had acquired the golden color of her father's eyes. Her face was surprisingly smooth and soft-lined, a nose just like her mother's, all soft features. Yurina had once stared at a photo of her mother and father for hours, boring the image into her head. She hadn't been trying to remember their faces. She remembered trying to remember how their voices sounded, how their mouths moved and how they sounded when they laughed. Her adoptive mother eventually had to take the photo away.
