MARA
I woke up from the smell of a sweet aromatic fragrance...hmm. I savored the scent and inhaled all the sweetness in the air which caused my stomach to grumble in response.
I slowly opened my eyes but my head felt like it was going to crack open. I felt so dizzy.
I was comfortably lying on a warm floor when I noticed a chimney across me. A gentle crackling sound drifted from it as the fire inside quietly consumed the wood.
Hmm...wow...the smell is so strong...really hard to ignore. It smelled so delicious that my instincts told me it was something edible. I'm sure of it!
Dahan dahan akong bumangon. My head is killing me and my sight is spinning. Umupo muna ako at nanatili dahil pakiramdam ko'y mas lalo akong nahihilo. Then slowly, I rubbed my temples.
"Gosh, give me a break," I complained to myself before rubbing the bridge of my nose and my forehead while my eyes were closed. I really felt off-balance even while sitting.
"But wait—where am I?!"
Agad akong napatalon sa aking kinauupuan sa gulat.
"Shoot!"
My breathing was heavy and my mind raced in panic. I could vividly remember everything that happened. I couldn't believe I once felt cozy lying down here.
Now that I think about it, my anxiety triggered and It felt like It swallowed my ability to think. It's taking over my mind. I was so nervous that my tears unconsciously flowed down my cheeks.
I immediately check my hands, wrists, body, and clothes. All were covered in blood pero wala ni isang sugat o pasa.
"What is goin' on?" I asked myself.
I can't help but cry out in agony, desperately struggling to find the answers. I remembered the monsters so I touched the part below my collarbone where I was stabbed. Pero wala man lang galos o marka ng butas. I could hear my heart beating so loud.
God. Noooo. I don't understand.
How? I know it's real, what I saw was real. It's real.
Then my eyes caught my reflection on the shining floor. Messy hair, with a face covered in dirt and dried blood.
Impossible! I'd rather die than face them again at this rate.
I feel so pathetic and hopeless. Nagfa-flashback sa utak ko ang lahat ng nangyari.
Am I dead? Ang daming katanungan sa aking isipan.
"Well..." I was startled from my seat and gasped at the sound of a deep voice.
But my fear disappeared as I was momentarily captivated by the beautiful surroundings.
Where am I?
The place is extravagant and luxurious. Jesus christ! Ngayon lang ako nakakita ng ganito ka gandang lugar sa buong buhay ko.
A long fancy table stretches beneath a lofty ceiling with a grand chimney anchoring the room and dazzling gold chandeliers cast a radiant glow.
No! A part of my brain forcibly snapped at me. Wake up, Mara!
"You seem quite fond of death to stir up such commotion, huh."
Who was that?!
My eyes widened as I continued to search for the source of the deep voice.
Suddenly, two elderly women looking to be in their fifties and dressed in maid-like uniforms appeared behind the large door from the side of the room and walked toward my direction. They positioned themselves at my sides, grabbed each one of my arms, and forcefully pulled me up to my feet. I was caught off guard and frozen in place. They don't look like a regular maid. They look like undead in human form with pale skin, dark lips, and menacing expressions.

DAMNED (Dark Romance)
Fantasy"Feel free to begin now. If you need my help, you might want to earn it," he said. His arms caged me on top of the bed as he leaned closer. His deep voice played in my ears making me shiver. "A-anong ibig mong sabihin?" "Beg for it," he demanded. I...
