Sadako's POV
All the top brass of Jujutsu Tech convened in a secluded chamber, anticipation crackling in the air. Sukuna burst through the door with a flourish, his gaze sweeping the room.
"Is this the spot?" he queried.
"Yes, indeed! Now, kindly, release me!" I implored, rapping my husband's chest with dwindling strength. Mei Mei and Utahime gasped in astonishment.
"Is this the royal treatment, Sukuna-sama? Seems the sun will rise in the west henceforth!" Gojo jeered, his laughter echoing in the room.
I'd enlisted Itadori's help to attend the meeting, but somehow Sukuna ended up as my escort.
"Well, Satoru, what brings you here so punctually?" I quipped, a smirk playing on my lips.
"Just arrived, actually. Seems the meeting was scheduled to commence twenty minutes ago, but our esteemed elders are preoccupied," he retorted.
"Ah, that explains it," I murmured. "Hey, sorcerer, catch!" Sukuna exclaimed, propelling me toward Gojo. "You insolent-" I began, cut off as I collided with Gojo.
"I shan't be fetching you again!" Sukuna declared before slamming the door shut behind him.
"What's the occasion? Sporting a kimono today?" Gojo inquired, a mischievous grin lighting up his face.
"It's one of Sukuna's capricious gestures. A tale for another time," I sighed, shooting him a scowl.
"Hmm, intriguing. Do tell," he prodded, his eyes gleaming with curiosity.
"What's the deal?" Gojo pressed curiously. "I already said, it's a saga for another day," I sighed.
"But is it really a big deal? Principal Yaga and the geezer are still MIA. We've got plenty of time to kill," he reasoned.
"Fine, fine... just let me down first," I relented, and he obliged, settling me beside him as I leaned against his shoulder.
"Alright, here's how it all went down..."
FLASHBACK~~~
"Thank you, Nobara, Maki," I murmured as I settled onto my bed, feeling a wave of exhaustion wash over me. "It's nothing," Maki responded, her tone carrying a hint of reluctance.
"Yeah, it felt like I was dressing up a doll," Nobara chimed in, her excitement evident. "You look amazing after the transformation, Inari-chan!" she added admiring.
I couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm.
After yesterday's grueling battle, my body was at its limit. Every movement seemed to be met with resistance as if my bones were reshaping themselves to accommodate me, 'Sadako.'
Itadori had been by my side throughout the night, tending to my needs with unwavering care. However, I couldn't bring myself to ask him to help me bathe.
