Normal POV
It was an ordinary day at Juju Tech, with Itadori sprawled out, sleeping soundly on Sadako's lap. His breathing was uneven, likely a result of exhaustion from their recent mission alongside Fushiguro.
Fushiguro was also present in the room, his attention drawn to the conversation unfolding between Sadako and Gojo.
Meanwhile, Gojo lounged on a long chair, his legs casually extended towards Sadako—an act that irked her, though she was accustomed to his disregard for her respect.
"Do you know why the Gojo clan and the Zen'in clan are on bad terms?" Gojo's question disrupted the tranquility, prompting a groan of displeasure from Itadori as he nuzzled deeper into his girlfriend's lap.
Fushiguro's curiosity was piqued by the unexpected revelation.
"I thought the Gojo clan and Aikawa's were on good terms?" he inquired, prompting Sadako to furrow her brows, tearing her gaze away from Itadori to glare at them.
"The hell?! Who said we're on bad terms?" she demanded irritated. "We weren't?" Gojo asked, genuinely surprised, and she shook her head.
"We were engaged, just like in this life," Sadako gestured between the two of them, and he let out a low whistle of understanding.
"So they actually were on bad terms in the first place?" Fushiguro sought confirmation, curiously.
"Sparks were constantly flying. Since the Edo era? Or the Keicho era? I forget when," Gojo replied nonchalantly, his casual attitude only serving to further irritate Sadako.
"Heian!! My era!!" Sadako exclaimed, her frustration palpable as Gojo chuckled, seemingly enjoying her annoyance.
"I heard the heads of the clans at the time got serious during a spectated match, and they both died," I interjected, attempting to clarify the historical context.
"Were the heads of those clans...?" Fushiguro trailed off, prompting a knowing smile from me.
"My fiancé at that time possessed Gojo's Six-Eyes and the Limitless technique..." I smirked, recalling the tumultuous past.
"And the other used the same technique as you, Megumi," Gojo added, piecing together the puzzle.
"The Ten Shadows Technique," Megumi concluded, realization dawning as he connected the dots between the ancient feud and the abilities passed down through generations.
"Understand what I'm getting at?" Gojo flashed a knowing smile, and Sadako couldn't help but smile to herself in response.
Inari's POV
As I blinked, a vivid flashback engulfed my senses, transporting me to a different time and place. "So I am... Sadako..." I murmured, the realization hitting me like a wave crashing against the shore.
"Sadako-Sama, please put these on..." Uraume, the monk, knelt before me, holding a pair of geta in their hands. "Your legs are wounded."
I could sense the underlying animosity emanating from Uraume, but I accepted the geta nonetheless, understanding that something was better than nothing.
A flinch rippled through me as I noticed Sukuna's sudden shift in attention. There was a release of huge amount of cursed energy.
"Sukuna-sama? Sadako-Sama...?" Uraume's questioned, but both Sukuna and I were already focused on something else—the unmistakable presence of Fushiguro's cursed energy in the distance.
