Sadako's POV
Hey there! It's me, Yours Truly Inari Aikawa, aka Sadako, dropping in! With everything that's gone down, I was sure the exchange event was toast.
But lo and behold, after a week-long hiatus, guess what we're doing now?
Gojo's voice boomed, commanding attention. "Play ball!"
And here we are, swinging bats and tossing balls.
Even with my memories back, the folks still dub me Inari, while some stick to Sadako. Well, except Sukuna, he's the lone ranger calling me Sadako.
But honestly, I actually prefer to be called Sadako rather than Inari, especially by Yuuji. But he hasn't called me that even once.
"Inari, are you cool with sitting this one out?" Junpei asked concerned.
"Oh, yeah. Baseball's not exactly my jam anyway," I replied, shrugging. "With Yuuji leading the charge, our team's got this in the bag. No need for two heavy hitters."
Now, on how did we end up in this baseball bonanza? Let me spin you a tale.
FLASHBACK~~~
"So, here's the deal. A lot went down, and we lost some sorcerers," Gojo started, addressing the room packed with students from both Juju Tech schools.
"Do you still wanna continue the event? It's your call students." I continued. "I'm at a loss for words, honestly..." Itadori's voice trailed off beside me.
(A/N: Sadako got graduated from being a student to a teacher.)
"But isn't it obvious? Of course we're playing!!!" Todo declared confidently.
"T-Todo..." Itadori and I gasped softly, exchanging glances and sharing a smile. His hand found mine, and I felt the warmth of his touch.
"You're so cold,....." Itadori whispered in my ears, interlocking our fingers and continued. "...and it feels good....." I chuckled shaking my head.
'But his body temperature is fucking high.'
"What's your reason?" Gojo asked, his curiosity piqued.
"First off, mourning should be left to those closest to the departed. It's not our place to intrude on their grief," Todo explained calmly.
"Secondly, if there were casualties, that's all the more reason for us to toughen up. Strength is born from adversity."
"Experiencing defeat and relishing victory is how we evolve. It's about accumulating those experiences," he continued, his conviction unwavering.
"Todo-senpai is surprisingly level-headed," Miwa remarked. "More like bone-headed," Mai quipped, and I couldn't help but chuckle.
"And lastly, the specter of regret from our school days hangs over us until our dying breaths," Todo concluded, his words ringing with determination.
"Tell me, how old are you again?" I asked, amused by the banter. "I don't mind, really," Fushiguro replied nonchalantly.
"We'll win anyway," Kugisaki chimed in confidently. "It sounds stupid, but he has a point," Kamo added, nodding in agreement.
"How about you rest, Kamo-kun? Why didn't anyone heal you?" Nishimiya asked concerned. "Ah... Both Shoko and I refused to heal him because you people tried to kill my Yuuji!" I replied with a fake smile.
"As the head of the team, it's my responsibility to what I was told, It's not like I had a choice!" Kamo interjected as I glared at Kamo, the room's temperature to drop drastically.
