Chapter Ten

***
They all continued to talk about all the different possibilities and why Vecna is doing this, until...
"Son of a bitch! Fuck!" Y/n yelled.
Another headache.
*Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock*
Four chimes. Same as always.
After about a minute of having a headache, she passes out.
"Shit! Y/n! No! Please, wake up!" Max said as she shook Y/n.

*Vision*
"Murderer! Murderer! Murderer!"
Chanting over and over again.
The boy ran and ran and ran.
But nothing will stop the curse.
No matter how far he ran.
Suddenly the boy fell.
"Fred! Fred! Help me! Help!" Another boy appeared.
But he was on fire.
Crawling out of a flipped car on fire.
Then, the boy, maybe his name is Fred, fell into an already dug grave.
Then, this thing with one hand bigger than the other, appeared in the grave.
"Your suffering has come to an end."
The creature growled.
"No! No!" The boy cried out.
With that, the creature grabbed the boy by the face.
*Vision Ended*

"Fuck!" Y/n yelled as she woke up.
"Y/n! Are you okay? Fuck! Here take this." Max said as she gave Y/n a pain reliever pill.
"What the fuck just happened?" Robin yelled.
"Another... vision..." Y/n said taking deep breaths.
"Who was it?" Eddie asked.
"Some guy named Fred. I've never seen him before." Y/n replied, finally calm.

*About five minutes pass*
Sirens.
"Eddie get down!" Steve whisper-yells.
But no cops came near them.
"Fred?" Y/n whispers.
They race to Steve's car and follow the police cars.

They end up in the scene where Y/n saw Fred die. No grave but... his bones, cracked.
His eyes, clawed out.
His jaw, opened.
Dried blood running out of his eye sockets.
They couldn't see it, but the same thing happened the day before.
To Chrissy.

They got out of the car.
Nancy was there.
Talking to the cops.
She looked their way and a simple smile seeing her friends reunited.
Sadly in these conditions, however.
Since they didn't really fit in Steve's car, Y/n and Robin went through the woods to get to the trailer park, while the rest went into Steve's car to meet up with Y/n and Robin at the trailer park.

"So when how does this Vecna dude look like?" Robin asked to break the silence.
"Well, it has pipes, like everywhere. His neck and arms and legs."
"Pipes?"
"Yeah. When you're in the Upside Down, there's pipes everywhere on the ground and walls. This thing has it all over its body."
"Wait, have been to the Upside Down?"
"Nope. Nancy has so she's told me about it."

*At trailer park*
"And Eddie's uncle told me about this guy, Victor Creel. He basically killed his own family and blamed it on demons." Nancy said after everyone else filled her in on what they know.
"It's stupid, but the way Wayne described the murders sounded similar to how I saw Fred." She continued.
"He said that we should've left. That he didn't have a good feeling of being here since we came. He was acting strange since we arrived." Nancy said.
"Eddie said that's how Chrissy felt." Dustin added.
"Nancy, you said that Fred was seeing things. Maybe Chrissy was too. Eddie said that he found Chrissy in the woods shaking. So if I were seeing things, I would've told someone already." Steve said.
"Maybe Chrissy did. I saw her at school, coming out of Ms. Kelly's office. Then, in the bathroom, she was crying in the stall." Max added.
"I don't think we should be here." Robin said.
"I mean, there have already been two murders here."
"Ok then. What's the plan?" Y/n asked.
"So I can go to Ms. Kelly's house and just tell her I need to talk or something and grab her office keys." Max said.
"Okay and I need to check something out at the library. I can meet you guys at the school." Nancy said as we all got up.

"Woah, woah, woah. No you're not. I'm not going to let you go alone with this creep running around." Steve said to Nancy.
"And I suppose you'd like to come along?" She replied.
"Yeah sure. Robin take the children to school." Steve demanded.
"What? No. I can't drive. I don't have a driver's license." Robin said.
"Why don't you have a driver's license?"
"I'm... poor."
"How about us girls stick together? I'll go with Nancy and you can take your children to school." Robin continued.
"What? No!" Steve said.
"I'll drive!" Max said.
"No! No! Never again!" Steve yelled.
"Fine! I'll babysit these kids again. Always the goddamn babysitter!" Steve yelled angrily.

*At Ms. Kelly's house*

"Okay we'll wait for you here Max." Y/n said. "Be careful."
"You too."
As she knocked on the counselor's door, Dustin said to Steve, "So... we going to talk about what the hell just happened back there?"
Y/n was intrigued.
"What are you talking about?" Steve answered.
"You basically throwing yourself at Nancy?" Dustin replied.
"Are you implying that I still have feelings for Nancy?" Steve scoffed.
"I mean, yeah. Every time you talk you offer to do practically anything for her." Y/n joined in.
"That's so not true."
"It literally is."
"What about you, Y/n? Out of everyone that we know, you've NEVER dated anyone or had a crush or anything close to being with someone!" Steve yelled clearly being embarrassed.
"Steve just don't-" Dustin started.
"I have my own problems, Steve!" Y/n yelled back.
"Like what?! You've been here longer than El and she's with Mike!" Steve yelled once more.

"You know what? Don't give me any of your shit right now because for one, you have fucked every girl in Hawkins, and still don't know who the "one for you" is and two I'M DEALING WITH SOME SERIOUS SHIT! I DON'T KNOW IF WE WILL LIVE BY THE END OF THE WEEK! I DON'T KNOW IF I'M NEXT OR YOU'RE NEXT OR ANYONE ELSE I CARE ABOUT! I HAVE NO FUCKING CLUE OF WHAT TO EVEN THINK RIGHT NOW! SO I'M SORRY IF I HAVEN'T MADE AN EFFORT TO FIND A SIGNIFICANT OTHER RIGHT NOW, I'M JUST TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO BEAT THIS VECNA GUY SO I CAN FINALLY GET SOME FUCKING REST!" Y/n yelled back.

Steve stayed quiet.
He was shocked.
Didn't know what to say.
"I told you not to." Dustin continued.

But it did keep Y/n wondering.
Steve had no right to say what he said, but      Y/n's never found a partner. Let alone, never even had a crush on anyone at school.
Why though?
Was she waiting for someone to come to her?
Did she subconsciously have her mind and heart set on someone?
If so, who? Why? What did they do to get Y/n's attention?

Interrupting Y/n's thoughts, Max came back in the car.
"Why's it so quiet?"
