Chapter Fifteen

"We shall begin." Y/n said.
She turned around and faced Henry.
"But you aren't the person I fell in love with anymore." She said.
With that, she ripped out one his veins, just like Max did before, and consciously made the vines let El and Max go and tie Vecna up.
"What are you doing?" Vecna asked.
"Let me go!" He tried controlling Y/n, but it's her world. Like he said, she can control anything in that world.
"We could've changed the world! You stupid child!" He yelled.
"Y/n! Please! Let me go. I love you. It's just you and me. We can have a future together. Do whatever you want to do." Vecna said, but his voice sounded more sincere.

Y/n didn't care.
As she cried, she made the vines tighter around his throat. Eventually, he stopped trying to escape.
His body stayed limp.
Y/n walked to the body.
Slowly, all the carnage from his face and body went away.
When it went away, a ripped white shirt appeared.
The blue eyes Y/n once fell in love with, were now visible.
The man she once loved laid there, lifeless.
She wept and wept, all while she hugged his body.
She may have killed him, but she still loved him.
Max went to Y/n and she hugged her.
El did too.

***
*Two days later*

The Lenora group reunite with their best friends. Y/n runs to her brothers crying. Will hugging her tighter as Jonathan lets Y/n go to go to Nancy.
"Y/n! I missed you so much." Will said crying.
"I missed you too." Y/n said tearing up.
They let go and Y/n went to go hug Mike.

*At the cabin*

"Mom!" Y/n yelled as she ran to Joyce.
"Y/n! Oh my god. Are you okay? How are you? What happened here?" She asked holding her in her arms.
"I'm fine, mom." Y/n smiled at her.
"Hop!" Y/n said as she ran to him.
"Hey kid. I missed you." He said as he hugged her.
"I missed you too."
Eventually, Y/n explained everything to them.

"And you singe-handedly beat this Vecna guy?" Hop asked.
Y/n nodded.

She felt happy she was with her family and friends again, but she couldn't help but feel... numb.
Yeah, she's happy her friends and family are okay and alive (besides Eddie) and that they can be with their significant others, but
what about Y/n?
She doesn't get her happy ending.
She gets a whole world to herself, one that she asked for, though.
She doesn't get a partner.
All this time, she wanted someone to be with her.
And now that the person she waited for her entire life is gone, who will be with her?
She doesn't want to be alone her whole life.
She doesn't think she'll find someone else to love.

She got up and left the cabin they were in.
Everyone got their partner.
Jonathan has Nancy.
Steve wants to be with Nancy, but at least he actually has someone.
Max has Lucas.
Mike has El.
Hop has Joyce.
Dustin has Suzie.
Robin has Vickie.
Will has...?
Well, he'll find someone.
Y/n, on the other hand, let's just hope she will too.

"Y/n?" El called out.
"Yeah?" Y/n turned around, wiping her tears away.
"I have to tell you something."
"What is it, El?"
"Papa is dead."
Y/n didn't react.
She just said, "Oh."

"And I know about Peter... or Henry." El says.
"I know you were close. I'm sorry about what happened. I made him into Vecna." She admits.
Y/n didn't know how to react.
"You... what?" Y/n asks.
"The day you escaped, he killed everyone in the lab. He told me to stay in the closet next to the pipe room, while he killed everyone. He tried to get me to kill everyone else in the world, but I told him no. That's when I opened a gate into the Upside Down." El explained.
"He let me go. And so it was you? You sent him there? You made him Vecna? El, I'm sorry, but if you never sent him there, we could've been together. We could've had a life together." Y/n said, grieving over a life she could've had with her lover.
"What have you done?" Y/n asked El.

With that, she ran and ran and went to Eddie's trailer. She went through the gate and ran to the Creel house.
When she got there, she cried.
She could've been with Henry this whole time.
A life that was robbed from her by El.
El.
Eleven.
She blamed Eleven.
She blamed everything on Eleven.
If Eleven never sent Henry there, maybe Eleven could've died instead of him.
And that's exactly how Y/n thought.
She wanted to hurt her.
To kill her.

She vowed to kill Eleven and expand her world that she created into the real world, just like Henry would've wanted.

How far was she willing to go to avenge her first love?
