Inna's pov
Sin's eyes blazed with fury as the weight of my words settled upon him. His grip on me tightened, his fingers digging into my flesh, a painful reminder of his simmering anger. I could feel the heat radiating off his body, a palpable force that threatened to consume them both.
"How the fuck Ace could be your sister," Sin seethed, his voice a low growl.
"You knew all along, didn't you? And yet, you kept this crucial information from us." His accusation hung in the air like a poisonous cloud.
My defiance flickered, momentarily giving way to a hint of vulnerability. I had expected Sin's anger, but the intensity of it still managed to rattle me.
I swallowed hard, summoning my inner strength, refusing to cower under his wrath.
"I didn't want to put the entire team at risk," I shot back, my voice laced with determination.
"Ace is my responsibility, not yours. She had a plan. We had one."
Sin's eyes bore into mine, their intensity unyielding. "Your plan? Do you think this is some kind of game of card or some BlackKing games you play?" His voice dripped with scorn.
"You are not the only one affected by Ace's capture. We are a team, and your actions have consequences for all of us."
I felt the weight of Sin's disappointment, his anger slicing through my defenses. I had underestimated the impact my secret would have on their tightly-knit group. The realization struck me hard, and a pang of guilt gnawed at my insides.
I got it, no one was getting this shit. I was not also.
"You don't fucking understand, I just fucking knew that Ace is my blood-like hell I don't even know myself, who the fuck I am," I replied, my voice softening with remorse. "But Ace is my blood. I couldn't bear the thought of losing her. I did not know what to do when she told me."
"How many times has she sneaked into my house?"
"Three times now."
"When did you know she was your sister?"
"A week from now, and she had brought me the DNA test," I explained as I watched Sin's anger radiate from him. "How the fuck did she sneak without anyone knowing."
"Well, it's your house, not mine." I clenched back my teeth at him, by the looks he was giving me now I would have been under the ground.
Sin's grip loosened slightly, but his anger remained palpable.
"You should have trusted us, Inna. We could have strategized and devised a plan together. Now, because of your actions, Ace is in even greater danger."
My heart sank at Sin's words. "So Ace is the same heir we were talking about. This is so messed up." Mikhail cursed.
I had wanted to protect my sister, to shield me from the treacherous world they inhabited. But in doing so, I had inadvertently placed Ace in even more peril.
"I'm afraid you wouldn't tell us what happened if I did not know about the pendant."
"I don't even know myself, I felt there was no point in telling anyone."
"What did two plan?"
"She had to bring out information from her father about me and what had happened years ago."
"And what about you?"
"She had asked me to bring out information from you and tell her."
They all give me looks calling me a traitor.
