Anna's pov

Time slipped away unnoticed, our senses heightened, attuned to the dance of danger that surrounded them. And then, in a sudden surge of chaos, we found ourselves engulfed in a violent clash. The air crackled with the symphony of gunfire, our movements fluid and synchronized, as we fought side by side, our souls intertwining in the chaos.

The next thing I knew, I found myself attacked by a guard when I raked my nails across his face in a useless effort to escape. Everything around me was starting to fade, my consciousness was about to disappear. my hands scrambled around, grasping my blade and plunging it into his side.

He cried out, making adrenaline kick in, endowing me with enough strength to shove him off.

Oxygen rushed into my lungs. As I caught my breath, I grabbed my blade, using it to slice into his thigh. Blood squirted out, splashing onto me as I jumped to my feet- With a swift blow to his temple, he slumped to the floor, dazed.

I dodged the guard's next punch, in the process throwing my elbow back into his rib. He grunted and turned away, quickly enough to have an arm thrown tightly around my throat.

He was fast with his movement and quick to think. These were some of his strengths just needed to find his weaknesses or advantages.

My hands flew to his arm against my throat as he tightened the hold.

I tried to remember what I should do if ever in a chokehold. That's when my lessons with Mikhail started to filter through my head his voice telling me exactly what to do. With his words echoing in he read- I punched and punched but his death because of the knife stab that I found him with.

Right, when I'd elbowed him in the rib it caused a slight wince. With that knowledge, the next punch he threw side-stepped it, and moved forward to punch that spot near his rib.

my eyes flew up to where Sin was standing.

His hair was a bit disheveled by the cold wind, it also pulling at his black long-sleeved shirt.

And his eyes that were on my, were near black. "Go down- I will watch your back." Sin said before I nodded immediately and went down the dungeons.

I was snapped out of my shock at seeing him when I missed my shot at punching another guard in the ribs and he flipped around bringing me to the ground, on my back.

It took a few minutes, and silently thanked the dark for being my cover as I crept towards two men who held a gun in each hand, firing at Dimitri's men. My heartbeat picked up as I tapped on both of our shoulders and the second, we looked back, my daggers have already slit their throats.

I must've caught the attention of another group as four men headed my way, guns searching for my figure the moment I slid into the blackness of night.

I'm tired.

Inhaling a sharp breath, I ducked and stabbed my dagger into one of the man's abdomens, making sure that it was deep enough as I twisted it before pulling it out.

My vision came back and I saw Sin behind one of the guys as he cut his throat and then threw the guy to the floor.

Using the time, he was giving me, I made my way toward the cells.

The sound of a bomb was heard from the outside- adding hot water to the situation. Sin smirked when he heard the bomb, he knew the yakuza had come to our rescue and now trying to commit to the plan we planned.

The walls of the mansion bore witness to the relentless carnage unfolding within its once-opulent halls. Bodies littered the floor, our lifeblood staining the pristine surfaces, a macabre testament to the violence that had consumed them. The scent of iron hung heavily in the air, mingling with the acrid stench of gunpowder.
