Blue Eyed Boy- Chapter Thirty-Nine

______________________________________________________________________________

I was stood out in the hall in my skanky outfit and my newly prized black, stacked stilettos. I walked as best I could on my weak legs as they brought Tyler out of his room and led him along behind me. In the glimpse that I caught, he looked stunning. He was wearing a very nice-looking white suit with a white collared shirt and slim black tie.

At least he got to wear clothes that actually covered something. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love that I am not naked, but I could at least have some tights or something.

We finally reached the end of the hall, but in stead of turning down to go to the room where the boss previously was, we turned and headed in the opposite direction before going out of an exit door. A huge carnival tent was set up in the middle of the field in the back of the house.

The light stung my eyes and burnt my skin from lack of exposure. I tried to feel the light breeze across my arms and the way that the grass and trees smelled. There was dew on the grass, making the air moist and drops of perspiration splashed across the exposed tops of my feet.

We walked through a flap in the side and entered to find chairs lining around the edge occupied by many people. There were all the gang members plus our beauticians. I took in a deep, shaky breathe as I surveyed the middle of the area. There were two black lound chairs that kicked back and two metal tables filled with knives and guns.

They placed Tyler and I side by side once we got to the middle and were waiting for the boss to make his entrance. I looked over and we made eye contact. There was that look in his eye that never seemed to go away. That look that said that we were getting out of this, that he wasn't going to let me get stuck in this trap that he created.

But I still didn't understand his logic. Sure he made a mistake ever even getting involved with the gang, but he did it out of hurt and confusion. He tried to get out as soon as he figured out how bad it was getting. Everybody makes mistakes and there's no reason for him to continue to beat himself up about it.

I tried to tell him all of this with my eyes. I reached out my hand as best I could with the restraints on and Tyler did the same. Our fingertips touched and an electric shock shot up my arm, warming my rapidly beating heart.

"Everything is going to be okay,"he whispered just as the boss entered through a back section that was closed off.

"Welcome, welcome! You were called here today to see the torturing and death of these two lowlifes. They have gone against our rules even though one of them is one of our own. They try to say that we are the weak link and that they are supreme. Well, today we are going to prove them wrong!" the boss chuckled as the majority of the crowd cheered.

Tyler muttered something under his breath, causing the man behind him to jab his fist into his back. The boss walked over to us and led us one at a time over to the lounge chairs, strapping us in once we were seated.

"Who would like to go first?"he asked, looking between the two of us.

Tyler's head immediately lifted up and he yelled out,"I will!"

"Haha! It seems that this lovely gentleman has gone with the traditional saying 'Ladies First'. Thank you for nominating her for her!"

I whimpered as he picked up a tiny needle and walked excruciatingly slow towards me. He gently took the needle and placed it to where it was barely touching the pale skin of the underneath of my forearm.
