Blue Eyed Boy- Chapter Eleven

______________________________________________________________________________________

I made my way over to Spencer's car. She was casually leaning against the hood, but I could see how nervous she was. Being a best friend had its advantages. When she saw me coming, she looked even more worried and anxiously walked over to the drivers side and climbed in. I got into the other side and she fired up the engine. She squealed out and we went to her house.

"Ummm, why are we going to your house? Won't we disturb Tyler?"I asked, afraid. I didn't want to confront him right now. I hadn't talked to him since the kiss.

"We won't bother him. He's almost ready to head back to school. He'll be in a wheelchair, but at least he'll be 'continuing his education' according to my parents."she shrugged.

"But...uhhh....can't we just go to my house?"I asked nervously.

"No, silly. Unless you are planning on murdering me and don't want my brother or a witness,"she teased.

"Definitely. Now can we head towards my house?"I pleaded.

"Why?"she asked.

"Because,"I said vaguely.

"Because why? You are not my mom so that response doesn't cover it,"she scolded.

I huffed, defeated,"Fine. I don't want to see your brother. We haven't really gotten along since the incident in the hospital."

"Oh, crap. I completely forgot about that. You haven't had a chance to talk to him since he was in the hospital. Plus, your visiting rights got restricted,"she sighed.

She didn't know about the other day. I wasn't going to tell her and obviously Tyler was going to listen to my request.

"Yeah, it's probably going to be really awkward,"I said with a double meaning. She thought it was because of the fight, but he and I knew it was because of the kiss.

"Oh well. We'll just try to ignore him,"she suggested and pulled into her driveway.

I guess this was it. We had to see each other sooner or later. Time to get this over with.

We both walked into the entry foyer before resuming into the living room. Just my luck, Tyler was lounging on the sofa with some reality show on. The brave people were trying to jump over a opening in the path that was filled with chocolate pudding. Tyler laughed as a fat guy tumbled into it and started scooping the chocolate heaven into his mouth.

He heard Spencer walking towards him and responded without turning around,"Hey, Spencer. How as school?"

"It was good. How was your day?"she asked, dragging me around to sit on the love seat with her.

"Nothing new, bored as hell,"he said, finally glancing at her. His eyes widened when he saw me before turning to a glare. He turned his attention turned back to the show.

Spencer turned to give me a sympathetic look. She must have seen the hate in his eyes, too. That hurt because now I know that it wasn't a figment of my imagination. It was real and my heart broke slightly at the thought.

"Hi Tyler,"I whispered.

He just pretended not to hear me. Maybe he didn't hear me, I mean, I did whisper. I know Spencer heard me because she cleared her throat and gave her best stern face to Tyler.

"I brought Addison home with me today. She hasn't seen you in forever and wants to know how you're doing,"she said.

"Then maybe she should ask me herself,"he snarled, angry that she was taking my side.
