Blue Eyed Boy- Chapter Twenty-Five

"Why are you just telling me this now?"I asked Spencer after I was through the denial stage.
"Cause I thought you didn't care, since he broke your heart and everything,"she shrugged, giving me a confused look.
"Spencer, I'm gonna give you some life saving advice,"she nodded her head enthusiastically,"Someone cannot break your heart, if you never loved them to begin with."
"You loved him?"she asked, shock clear across her face.
"I loved him so much,"I gave a weak smile.
"I'm sorry,"she frowned.
"For what?"
"For not telling you,"she turned towards me with an apologetic look.
"It's fine. I just want to know when you would have told me if i didn't come over today."
"Well, if you wouldn't have come over, then I probably would have called you and told you to come over. Then it would have gone somewhat like this, except I would probably have a speech planned out,"she gave a humorless laugh,"It doesn't matter now does it. He's gone and he probably won't ever come back."
"Don't talk like that. Don't be so pessimistic!"I reprimanded, her hopelessness sickening me.
"I'm not being a pessimist, I'm being a realist. My parents don't care that he's gone. They are probably happy that he's gone and out of their hands. Out of their lives."
"They looked pretty worried when I came in,"I frowned.
"They were either acting or are just worried about the publicity,"she snorted, a sickened look covering her face.
"It all makes sense now."
"What?"
"In the hospital, when he said that he wanted to die, he talked about how his parents wouldn't care because they hated him. Then, in the police station, when you were telling us about when your parents would be there, he said that it was o surprise they chose work over you because they suck as parents. Then, after he had left, your mom said he was useless,"I explained,"I think that it has something to do with where he was last year."
"That makes sense,"she nodded her head in comprehension.
"Yeah, I hate to break it to you, but your mom is a bitch and your dad is an asshole,"I gave a small smile and brought her into a hug.
"I kind of figured. They were never home, but they were always nice and decent to me. Plus, they didn't make it very apparent that they hated Tyler,"she shrugged against me.
"Oh well. I'm gonna go talk to your parents because I'm feeling kind of angry right now and I need to let it out. Plus, your mom already hates me,"I smiled, removing her from me.
"I can't stop you, can I?"she gave a sad smile.
"They might not let me ever talk to you, text you, or ever hang out with you ever again,"she frowned.
"I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel like it was the right thing. We will get through this, but I have to do this first. I've lost the man that I love, and he might never come back. And it won't be his decision."
She just nodded and let me walk into the living room , where her parents were still seated. I sat across from them on a recliner, while they sat on the love seat. I just watched them as they both faked sadness and he held her. It sickened me when I realized how I hadn't noticed how horribly they treated him before now. I just never saw what horrible, sick people they really are. And it makes me disappointed in myself, and mad.
