Addison's POV

My mom and I were currently looking through the various hanging dresses. Halloween was creeping up on us and I needed a black dress for a costume party that I was invited to. Tyler was coming as my date and it would be our first party as a couple, so I had to try to look good.

I was yet to figure out Tyler's secret. He was really careful to avoid any subjects that could possibly lead to his secret and when ever I brought it up, he would change the topic of conversation. I understood, he needed space, but I was getting impatient.

As I lifted up the perfect tight black dress, my phone buzzed in my pocket, almost causing me to drop it. I reached in my pocket and pulled out my cell. I answered it and brought to my ear.

"Hello?"I asked quizzically.

"Addi! It's Tyler. Spencer is at the police station and I thought that you would want to come and hear about what is happening,"Tyler said hastily.

"Are you there now? What happened?"

"I'm about to walk inside. I need for you to come now if you want to know,"and then he hung up.

I stuffed my phone in my purse and quickly payed for the dress without trying it on. I rushed over to my mom.

"Mom, we have to go now,"I urged, tugging on her arm.

"What? Why? Don't you need a dress?"she jabbered.

"I got one. No more questions, just driving,"I demanded, rushing out of the crowded mall.

My mom got into the car with me quickly following. She didn't waste time and quickly pulled out onto the main road.

"Where to?"

"The police station,"I said, ignoring her inquisitive looks.

We soon arrived and I released a breathe that I didn't realize I was holding. I turned to my mom, she didn't need to be here.

"Okay mom, here's the story. Tyler called me at the mall and said that he got a call the Spencer was at the police station. He didn't know what was going on yet when he called me, but he's in there and probably knows now. I'm just gonna hear what happened and I'm also going to try to talk to her. I'll call you when I need a ride,"I spoke quickly, glancing over my should occasionally.

She just nodded so I slammed the door closed and jogged up to the glass front doors. I swung open the left one and walked inside. The lobby smelled of lemon-scented floor cleaner and donuts. So it wasn't a joke that policemen like donuts?

The lobby was actually pretty big for a small town police station. I took the ten steps to the front desk and locked eyes with the secretary lady. She had pretty grey eyes that helped express her large smile.

"How may I help you?"she asked politely.

"Oh, umm, I need to see Spencer Hastings. I just got a call from her brother that something has happened?"I spoke in a question.

"Oh, the handsome young man,"she said almost to herself,"Who are you in relation to the Hastings?"

"Our families are good friends. I have been friends with Spencer since I was a baby and I have known Tyler just as long. I am also currently dating him,"I smirked as a jealous expression consumed her face.
