As the night became darker and the full moon became visible, Princess Yue, Katara, Aang, and Zeraphina all watched as the tides swayed to and fro with the moon's light.
"Legends say that the moon was the first waterbender." Yue said, "Our ancestors saw how it pushed and pulled the tides and learned how to do it themselves."
"I've always noticed that my waterbending was stronger at night," Katara said.
Zeraphina smiled up at the moon, "Yes, it's quite a powerful thing, isn't it?" She said, "I've always enjoyed watching as the moon rose in the sky before going to sleep at night."
"A member of the Fire Nation enjoying the sight of the moon?" Katara snickered, "How strange for you."
Zeraphina shrugged her shoulders, "Well, perhaps it's the water tribe genes within me. And besides, the moon is much kinder than the sun. Its light is gentle and calm while the sun burns and is fierce. I prefer the much calmer side of the day."
Yue smiled down at Zeraphina, happy to hear such kind words from a member of the Fire Nation. She then looked back up at the moon, feeling the gentle light it gave off.
"Our strength comes from the spirit of the moon. Our life comes from the spirit of the ocean. They work together to keep balance."
Upon hearing Yue's words, Aang's eyes widened and he jumped to his feet.
"The spirits!" He said excitedly, "Maybe I can find them and get their help."
"How can you do that?" Yue asked.
"The Avatar is the bridge between our world and the spirit world. Aang can talk to them."
"Maybe they can give you the wisdom to win this battle." Yue grinned.
"Or maybe they'll unleash some crazy attack on the Fire Nation." Zeraphina snickered at Aang's suggestion.
"Maybe we should stick with the wisdom thing, Avatar." She replied, "Besides, isn't navigating between two completely different worlds a little crazy? Even for the Avatar, that can't be too easy."
Katara sighed, "She's right, Aang. Last time you got to the spirit world by accident. How are you gonna get there this time."
"I have an idea. Follow me." Yue said. She quickly grabbed Zeraphina by the hand and began pulling her away.
"Princess, what are you doing?" Zeraphina asked.
"You know exactly where I'm taking you. It's where you first spoke to me, remember?"
Zeraphina was even more confused, but then recalled her vision of a crystal clear pond surrounded by grass. The three of them followed Yue to a small wooden door. Zeraphina felt as if she had been there before, but didn't say anything since she knew the answer to her questions.
"So, is this the way to the spirit world?" Aang asked as he and Katara approached the small door while Yue chuckled at the silly question.
"No, you'll have to get there on your own. But I can take you to the most spiritual place in the entire North Pole."
Yue opened the door and allowed them inside. On the other side of the door was a beautiful oasis filled with life despite the cold walls surrounding it. There was a waterfall behind the small patch of land and a small pond near a wooden shrine.
Aang gasped when he saw the beautiful oasis before running to feel the soft grass on the land. The girls quickly followed him and just as Zeraphina set foot on the grass, a wave of tranquility rushed through her body.
"What a lovely place, don't you agree, Child?"
"I do. I've never felt this much at peace since I was a child. But it has changed over the years, has it not?"
