Several hours after Katara and Toph stopped talking to each other, they were still separated even after the sky's light dimmed from the afternoon to early evening. Zeraphina, Sokka and Aang stared at the two girls, both sitting on opposite sides of the cliffside.

"Hey, Aang, you want to test out my messenger hawk with me?" Sokka proposed, "I've got an idea."

"Sure." Aang happily agreed.

"Sokka, I do hope that this isn't something ridiculous that would make the situation worse." Zeraphina said.

"Don't worry, this is gonna be good. Trust me." Sokka assured and whispered the plan to Aang, "I'm gonna send a note to Katara and say it's from Toph, who wants to apologize. Then everyone will be friends again."

"I gotta say, Sokka, you continue to impress me with your ideas." Aang praised.

"And you continue to make a fool of yourself, Sokka." Zeraphina muttered as Sokka quickly wrote a letter of apology to Katara from Toph.

"Dear Katara, sorry for everything. Your friend, Toph." He read as he wrote, rolled up the note and sent it off with the messenger hawk on his shoulder. The bird flew over to Katara, she took the note and read it.

"I know this is from you, Sokka! Toph can't write!" She shouted standing up and ripping up the note from Sokka and tossing it in the air in a fit of rage, "Ugh! You're all driving me crazy! Zera, why didn't you stop them?!"

"Better to let them learn from their mistakes. Lessens the blow from future ones yet to be made." Zeraphina chuckled, causing Katara to huff in frustration and storm off.

"I can't believe we forgot Toph can't write." Aang groaned.

"Yep, we're idiots." Sokka agreed.

"I guess plan B is, we send a note to Toph pretending it's from Katara."

"Stop right there, Avatar." Zeraphina stopped him, "Think about this clearly. A girl who can't write because of her lack of eyesight, reading an apology note. Let that sink in."

Aang thought for a second, then it finally hit him. Zeraphina smiled seeing that the boy figured it out.

"Sokka, let's go have a little chat with Toph, yeah?" She suggested and Sokka agreed, the two of them walking over to Toph.

"Come on, we've gotta talk." Sokka said. Toph blew her bangs out from her face and followed the two. They sat near the waterfalls, taking a spot at the edge of the cliff sitting over a small pool of water in the river, not knowing that Katara was under the cliff taking a dip.

"So let me guess." Toph said, "You brought me out here to tell me your sister's not as annoying as I make her out to be. And you tagged along to give me some kind of crazy DragonBorn wisdom or something like that."

"Nah, she's pretty much a pain." Sokka admitted, "She's always got to be right about everything and she gets all bossy, and involved, and in your business."

"Yeah, I don't know how you can deal with it." Toph chuckled.

Zeraphina chuckled along with her, "I know Katara is all that and more in your opinion. When I first met her, she was quite the brave soul, even in my prophetic dreams she was always fighting and ordering people around. But that's what makes her an important part of the team."

"Yeah, and in a way, I actually rely on her bossy attitude." Sokka continued.

"I don't understand either of you." Toph said.

"When our mom died, that was the hardest time in my life." Sokka explained, "Our family was a mess, but Katara, she had so much strength. She stepped up and took on so much responsibility. She helped fill the void that was left by our mom."
