It's now time for lunch. You don't really wish to go, because you thought you'd threw up, because something was wrong with the food. Although you were hungry and had to go.
Nothing was wrong with the food, it was just that you threw up by seeing how your mother murders you. You knew it couldn't happen but it was disturbing after all.
You sit against Michael, as usual. "Hello, Michael!" He looks at you and slightly waves. "How have you been?" You say as you pick up some of the meal with a fork. He nods, it means he's quite good. "I'm happy to hear that. You won't mind if I share something with you, would ya?" He shakes his head. "I had a dream, more of a nightmare, actually, but it was about my mom. There was a flashback of her making pancakes when I was little, then she asked for a knife and stabbed me. I don't know what that means, but it made me throw up and it was awful." He just looks at you with a sad-looking expression. That's new. It feels like he wants to talk to you, but something is stopping him. You wonder when did he last talk and what was his last word. Heh, imagining Michael as a 6 year old is a whole new adventure, including the fact that it made you smile. Michael tilts his head in confusion. "It's just that-" you laugh "-I imagined you as a kid." You didn't know if that was right to say, because it can being back memories and make him sad, and even angry. But no, instead he had a small smirk that lasted no longer than one second. "I saw you smile! I saw it!" You cheer up loudly. Everyone looks at you. Even Beatrice, who smiles at what you just said. Not long after everyone was back at their own business and you continued to eat.
Then, out of the damn nowhere, Xander approaches. "Having fun, are ya? Good job Myers, you finally managed to find a friend, huh? I'm impressed." He says. Michael squeezes his fists and you sigh. "Xander, can you go away, you're bothering us at the moment. We're trying to eat, as you can see. Can we talk later?" You say in a calm tone. Xander turns up at you and answers "Well, of course, Y/N. Your wish it my command. We'll talk later." "Thanks." He just leaves.
You overthink sending him away. You thought you may regret it later, due to Xander being two-faced. He can tell Beatrice's secret and she'll be in trouble for that. You start to worry so you make sure he's still on his good side, wishing no bad to you, nor Beatrice or Michael.
"Michael, listen now, I'll call out Xander, because I don't want him to get Beatrice into trouble. I hope that's okay for you, is it?" You ask Michael. He thinks about it and then nods. "Thank you, very much."
"Xander! Come here, please!" You yell. He came up to your table. "So you wanna talk now?" He asks. "Yeah, I do, and I'm sure Michael doesn't have a problem with that." You answer. "That's great!" He says as he sits next to you. "So, what happened earlier, you threw up, is something wrong?" He asks again. "It was nothing, really. I had a stomachache." You answer. "Alright. Sooo, how's the food?" He asks yet another question, wrapping his arm around your shoulder. Michael looks extremely annoyed. "It's good, I guess. Probably the best I could get here." You answer once again. He smiles. "You can get everything as long as you wish for it, and your guard is as good as me, Y/N." He says with a smile. You get what he means. He means Beatrice. You take his arm off your shoulder. "For the moment I don't need anything, but thanks anyways." You say.
After an awkward chat with Xander, and Michael's silence, of course, you're now in the library. Yes, there is a library here. Although you cannot access it without permission of a guard, nurse or Loomis himself. Xander told you about it and you were curious. It has been around 2 hours of you reading books and browsing, and Xander sleeping on one of the desks, waiting for you to finish reading. You then find something what seems like a diary, an old one. You open it and read the name.
Xander Anderson
It just can't be, it belongs to Xander.
You read the first page:Dear diary,
It's my first day here. I can't describe it just yet, but it seems disgusting in this place. Sick people all around, rude guards and nurses, it can't get any better. Why did I have to be mistaken like that, I did nothing to get here! I'm totally mentally stable! I'm not fucking crazy, goddamn it!.
-July 24th, 19XXYou skip to the last pages.
It's really my last day being a toy here. They finally realised I'm worth working here, than being locked as a sick person. I'm getting a job as a guard here!
So, he was a patient here once, too? You couldn't have guessed so before. What did he possibly do to get here anyways. Maybe, just maybe, you can become a guard here too after a while.
You see that Xander is waking up, so you put the diary back to it's place.
"Y/N? Are you done yet?" He asks in a sleepy voice. "Yeah, I'm all done now. I'd like to come here again sometime. There are interesting books." You say.
You two are now walking to your cell and you decide to ask "Xander, how did you become a guard here?" His face went deadly serious, then was followed by an awkward smile. "Oh, Y/N, it's a long story. I found out there were searching for staff here so, I joined, and here I am, in the most calm place with the most beautiful girl in the whole building." He says as he locks the door and leaves right after.

You can tell he lied about the job thing. But you didn't even have time to say something. Xander really is a weird person. First he's threating you, then..You decide not to think about it and wait the remaining hours to dinner to pass.
