Dustin is out of control.

Seriously.

He continued to sprint in the direction his compass told him as we all struggled to keep up.

"Dustin? Can you slow down? Dustin?" Eddie yelled out.

"I think we're getting close!" Dustin responded.

Eddie reached forward and grabbed onto Dustin's clothes, pulling him away from the water he was about to plunge into.

"Watch your step, big guy."

"Oh, man!" Steve said. "You gotta be shitting me."

"Yeah. I thought these woods were familiar." Eddie said.

"Lover's Lake."

"This is confounding."

"There's a gate in Lover's Lake?" Max asked.

"Whenever the demogorgon attacked, it always left an opening." Nancy said. "Maybe Vecna's the same way?"

"Yeah, that makes sense."

"Only one way to find out." Steve says.

We found the boat Eddie used to escape from Jason. Steve and Eddie brought it back into the water so we could reach the gate.

"Easy." The boat plopped down into the water. "Alright, I said easy, man."

"Sorry, dude."

Robin went to step into the boat. "Here you go." Steve held out his hand for Robin to take.

"Yeah, I'm just gonna do that." She instead put her hands on Steve and Eddie's heads to steady herself. "Thank you."

"Yeah, that works too."

I followed Robin into the boat and used the same technique as her. Eddie got into the boat after me. "Good, you got her."

Eddie held out his hand. "Wheeler."

"Thanks."

Dustin attempted to get into the boat before Eddie stopped him. "Hey, hey, hey, you trying to sink us? This thing holds four people tops, okay?"

"It's better this way, okay? You guys stay here with Max. Keep an eye out for trouble."

"You keep an eye out! It's my goddamn theory!"

"You heard Nance."

"Who put her in charge?"

"I did." Robin said.

"Compass." Nancy stuck out her hand.

He handed it to her and backed away.

"Hey! Here you go." Steve said to Dustin as he threw the backpack at him.

Steve pushed us further into the water and climbed into the crowded boat. "Alright, dude, seriously?" I said.

"You said three!" Dustin yelled.

"Sorry."

There wasn't enough space in the boat, so Eddie pulled me closer to him so I could sit in his lap.

"Bedtime at nine, kiddos!"

Robin and I started to wave dramatically at the kids. "Miss you already!"

Eddie and Robin were in charge of moving us towards the gate.

"Woah, woah, woah. Slow down. Slow down, guys." We turned to look at the compass, which was turning in all different directions.

"Woah." Steve said as we observed the compass.
