Kai's POV
I was in my room when I heard the alarm go off, I got up and ran to the control room. When I got there the others were all there. "Sis give us the rundown," I said walking in. "There is a fire that has broken out in Ninjago tv station all of us have to go but there are still people inside so two of us will need to go inside to save the people, the others will stay outside to put the fire out, " Nya said looking at me. "Ok so are we ready," Lloyd said. "NINJAGO!" We all said and ran out to get in our mechs.
We all went off and when we got to the place it was in flames and people were crying I stopped and looked at the scene at hand, this reminded me a lot of when my and Nya's parents died trying to save me and Nya from the flames of a building. I froze in place and felt a tear fall down my face.
Flashback
"MUMMY DADDY!" was all you could here that night. Flames roar aside the cries of a young boy that was older than 7. "Hold on baby, mummy, and daddy are coming." A mother cried with worry. After what felt like 5 years the mother and father finally could go and save their kids from the flames but the frame of the building was going to collapse on them. The mother and father died that night. But it was too late for the boy, he lost his mother and father to him listing control over his fiery temper. All the young boy could say was "I'm sorry mummy and daddy please wake up." He cried with his sister in his arms by his mother and father's side.
End flashback
"Kai. KAI" I heard someone say my name but I just ran inside of the building. "I'm not letting anyone die today and even if it kills me," I said under my breath. I ran in, I could hear voices coming from inside and outside the outside voices were my friends calling me to come back but I just focused on the voices inside.
Cole's POV
After Kai ran inside the building that was going to fall any second, I and the others called after him but he did not listen to us. "I'm not letting Kai die today," I said to the others and ran inside. "KAI, KAI, KAI!"I yelled over and over again.
I heard footsteps running down some stairs will that were left of them. It was the people that were stuck up there but that's when I heard someone scream in pain. "Hey people let's move, my team is waiting for you there you will get help for those who need it, but tell me what floor you were just on, "I said guiding the people out. "Floor 101, the fire ninja is still up there."A young boy yelled to me.
I ran up the stairs of the fire escape to try and find Kai. When I got up there it was mostly ash and fallen frames. "KAI, KAI, KAI!" I yelled and I was hoping to find Kai but all I got was a loud thud. I ran to where the sound came from, I saw Kai lying floor with ash on his face and a fallen frame on his back. "Kai, "I said with worry. I lifted the frame off of his back and he had some burns from it. I got down to pick up Kai and I ran for the exit but a frame fell blocking the way out.
I looked down at Kai and his face was painted with pain, I could feel him start to heat up seeing that he was the master of fire and we were in a building on fire that's why. "Kai, hold on a little longer, " I said putting him down on the ground. I ripped so clothes off of my gi and wrapped them around my hands, I was punching a wall trying to get out but the whole room was filling up with smoke fast.
I heard a groaning sound and I stopped punching the wall and saw Kai trying to stand up. "Kai. "I said running over and catching him before he fell. "Cole...we...need...help from...the...others," Kai said to me. "I know Kai I'm trying to get us out of here," I said holding Kai to my chest. "AHHHH!" Kai yelled and I realised that I was touching his burn. "Cole...back," Kai said but passed out from the pain. I felt him become warmer. "LLOYD PLEASE HURRY UP KAI IS OUT AND IS BRUNING UP...I...CAN...NOT...HOLD...ON!" I yelled at the top of my lounges trying to get my voice over the sirens, crying and yelling but too much smoke had entered my lungs, and I passed out.
The one thing I did was keep Kai close to my chest to protect him from falling frames.
Lloyds POV
"LLOYD PLEASE HURRY UP KAI IS OUT AND IS BRUNING UP...I...CAN...NOT...HOLD...ON!" I heard a voice yell and I paused for a minute. "NYA ZANE HURRY UP, COLE AND KAI ARE STILL IN THE FRIKING FIRE!" I yelled at them. "IN FACT ALL OF YOU GET WATER AND HELP GET THE FIRE DOWN!" I yelled at every person standing around crying or just watching the scene unfold.
Nya's POV
When Lloyd told me that Kai was passed out in the fire I pushed all of my energy to put this fire out. "NYA STOP YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE CONTROL OF YOUR POWERS," Zane yelled over to me. "ZANE IF I LOST CONTROL THEN I AM HELPING ALL I CARE ABOUT IS THAT KAI IS OUT BEFORE HE DIES AND TO KNOW THAT I COULD NOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP HIM OUT OF THE FIRE THEN I DO NOT KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO ME!" I yelled back to Zane.
2 hours later
After what felt like years we finally put the fire out. I was physically and mentally drained of my power but I know that Kai is ok I hope. "Everyone move, let's get the red and black ninja out." A paramedic called over to his teammates. They all went in and Zane came over to me helping me up. "I told you this will happen," Zane said as he help me up. I punch him with the strength I had left.
Jay's POV
I went to help the paramedic find Kai and Cole along with Lloyd. "Can you tell me why these ninjas went inside the fire?" A paramedic asked us. "Long story short, Kai froze when we got here and ran inside the building and we all yelled at him but he just ran up the stairs and soon people came out crying but Cole ran in to find Kai just before the people came out. But we heard a yell that sounded like Kai and then 2 hours ago we heard Cole yell for us to hurry up." I said well walking to where we think they might be.
Lloyd and I kicked the door down and we saw a hole in the wall and we walked over to it. "Cole mush over been here trying to punch a way out," Lloyd said but I saw blood on the floor. "Lloyd," I said following the blood that was on the floor. We found Cole and Kai under a frame that was still burning. "HURRY WE MUST GET THEM TO A HOSPITAL."One of the paramedics said to her team. They came over and removed Cole from the frame and grabbed Kai gently so they would not hurt him anymore, but Cole woke up and started going over to Kai.
Cole's POV
When I passed out I held Kai close so that he was not going to get hurt as much as I was going to be. I think I was out for about 1 and a half hours when a frame fell on my back woke up and I chucked Kai into a clare stop and let the frame fall not even trying to move out of the way.
When I heard Jay's voice I started to move and let them know that I'm not dead. "COLE!"Jay and Lloyd yelled the paramedic got the frame off and I coved my ears from the loud noise I looked over at Kai and got up and called over to him. "Hey...Kai...wake...up."I said picking his limp body up. I heard him growl. "Cole...what...happened?" Kai said but before I could answer him I kissed him did I forget to mention that I have a huge crush on Kai? Kai kissed back with no hesitation.

Kai's POV
After the whole fire thing, it turns out that Cole protected me from anything that fell while we were passed out but the bad thing is that both of us have really bad burns on our backs so we can not leave this place for another 10 days. "Hey, Kai when we are out of here can I take up for a date to the movies or dinner," Cole asked me. The good thing about being a ninja was we had asked if our beds could be right next to each other. I kissed his hand in answer. "Yeah, I would like that," I said with a smile.
