Kai's POV
I was with Jay, Lloyd, Zane and Nya watching Cole my boyfriend train for the upcoming rugby game and I loved watching him play and train after school with the others. It was the first day of pride month and my friends had surprised me and Cole with a LOT of gifts and one of them being a huge pride flag, I had it wrapped around me and had a big smile on my face. "Owww kai is happy," Jay said in his very annoying voice I shot him a glare but looked back at Cole in a second. "Jay shut up and leave Kai alone," Nya said and nudged Jay. " Yeah let's just watch Cole play," Lloyd said and Zane just nodded not looking up from his book. I smiled as Cole looked at me with a smile.
After training
Cole and his team were finished and were walking to the changing room but 4 of the bigger players came my way. The others had gone home because they were bored but I stayed. When I saw the 4 bigger players came my way I got up to try and run but one of them grabbed me making me drop the flag. I looked at it and then looked at the one with a lighter. "Oh does this little freak want his pride flag?" The leader of the group said coming close to my face. I gave him a nod. "Will too bad," he said and the boy with the lighter dropped it and started to burn the flag. I let out a small cry when the lighter hit the flag but as I watched it burn I cried. As I watched the flag burn I heard one of the guys say. "oh hey captain do you want t join us in making fun of this gay freak." And I knew Cole was there and the guy holding let me go. I got up and ran to Cole. " babe." I said and held his top. I could feel the other guy's eyes on us but I just cried. When I felt Cole wrap his arms around me I calm down a bit but I felt him become angry. "he is your boyfriend." The leader of the group stuttered.
Cole's POV
When training was over I looked back at Kai and saw him still in the same place as before but the others had left and I went to the changing room and was going to get changed and then come right back out to go on the date tonight. When I got in I did not see Jake, Max, Levi or Mitch. "Hey, guys have any of you of you seen where Jake, Max, Levi and Mitch went they were at practice," I asked my team makes. They looked at each other until one of them spoke. "I overheard them saying that after practice they are going to burn the pride flag that the kid had that was over on the bench watching us." When I heard that I knew they were talking about Kai and I ran out of the changing room. One of my teammates knew that I was gay and dating Kai and he was the one to tell me that. When Sam said that to me I had to run and help Kai.
When I got out heard Kai cry and was being held down by Levi, Max and Mitch were laughing at Kai and Jake dropped the lighter on the flag, as I watched this happen I saw Kai get dropped and I ran over and punched Levi in the face and Kai ran and hugged me I could feel him shaking and crying in my chest. "he is your boyfriend." Max stuttered. I glared at him and as I watched Levi come back up I started to become angrier and angrier. "Kai I need you to let me go so I can beat the shit out of them ok," I said in a small voice so Kai could hear me and he let me go.
"Hey, Cole we did not know that you were dating Kai and if we did." I cut Mitch short of what's was saying with a punch in the face. " NO, IF YOU KNEW ABOUT US YOU STILL WOULD OF FUCKING LIT THE PRIDE FLAG ON FIRE AND MADE FUN OF KAI FOR BEING HIM!" I yelled and backed them up in the corner. The other teammates had come out soon after I did and was watching. "Cole look we are sorry," Jake said putting up his hands. "SORRY IS NOT GOING TO CUT IT THIS TIME IF BY NEXT PRACTICE I FOUND OUT THAT WE WERE MAKING FUN OF KAI OR ANYONE I WILL NOT HESERTAT TO BEAT YOUR ASS AND KICK YOU OFF THIS FUCKING TEAM!" I yelled at them and I could see that they were all scared but I could not care all I wanted them to feel is that I could not give a crap about them being on the team if they were going to be mean to Kai or anyone.
I turned back to Kai who was crying and still shaking and I stored on the pride flag trying to save it and stop the fire but it was too far gone for saving so I left it and walked over to Kai and picked him up. "if you are ready to go we can but I just have to get me stuff." I said in Kai's ear and he gave a nod but held on tight. " Max if you think that you can get away with this boy you are the wrong coach will find out about this and you are going to be in hell," I said as I left with Kai to the changing rooms. "Babe," Kai said in a small voice as I sat him down just so I can get my things. "yeah," I said coming back down to meet his eyes. "can I kick their ass tomorrow," Kai said with a small smile. I gave a small laugh and nodded. "yes you can firefly." I said and picked him up and walked out. "So where do you have in mind for a date," I asked Kai. He gave a smile. "why not to the shower for you and then out to dinner and then to a theme park." Kai said with a laugh. "ok babe." I said laughing.
