Kai's POV
Cole and I were speeding down the roads of Ninjago, careful not to crash with each other and the crystals all around us, I felt my vehicle start to lift. "I didn't know your vehicle could fly," Cole said jokingly. The panic was setting in. "I it cants." The next second I spun around and landed on Cole's car cursing us to crash into the wall of a building. The world spun before everything went black.
No one's POV
Everywhere you looked around Ninjago, chaos was happening everywhere. The Crystal King gave the order to kill all the ninjas but he only got as far as separating all of them and destroying the bounty. Crystal zombies roamed the streets of Ninjago, the crystal council was on the hunt for all of the ninjas and to end them one by one.
Kai's POV (10 minutes later)
There was a ringing in my ears and my vision was hazy. "What happened," I said to myself, looking around the saw that Cole was below me and I was upside down. "COLE!" I yelled unbuckling my seat belt and getting out of my vehicle. When I got down I moved rocks out of the way to open the shield of the vehicle. "Cole come on buddy please stay with me," I said to myself as I lifted the shield. I looked at Cole who looked like he was in and out of consciousness, shaking his shoulder to try and get him up, Cole opened his eyes and the first thing I saw was pain in his eyes. "Did we win?" Cole's voice was in a crazy mood but I was more worried about where he could be hurting. "Not quite," I told him as I unbuckled the seat bleat and looked him over. "Why are you checking me out." Cole looked up at me with the same pain still in his eyes.
I looked at his face and lifted his mask; his head was bleeding a lot. "How did I not see this, you stupid idiot," I said more to myself than to Cole but he still heard. "I need to find Wu or Zane or PIXAL," I said stepping back and holding a hand to my head. "Kai I don't feel so good." I spun my head around to face Cole and saw that he had climbed out of the car. I ran to him before he fell hurting himself more. "Cole look at me you need to stay with me as long as you can so we can find Wu and get you to help ok, please I just need you with me," I said the last part in a soft and quiet voice. "Promise, please find help I don't like this headache." Cole's voice was innocent like a child but his eyes showed that he was in pain. "Promise," I said grabbing his hand and lifting it in the air. Putting his arm around my shoulder we walked for a bit but every time I looked at Cole he looked worse and worse. "Ninja where are you," Pyphor yelled out to us. I looked around us to try to find a safe place for us to hide, a paper bin was the only thing that we could hide in. "Cole just a little bit more ok," I told him and lifted his body a bit more to move faster.
We reached the paper bin and lifting the lid with one hand it opened up. "Cole you have to help me here," I said lifting him he climbed into the paper bin and I climbed in after him closing the lid as quietly as I could. "Ninja comes out where ever you are," Pyphor said again, I looked at Cole who was trying to keep his eyes open. I moved over to him placing his head on my lap. "Cole it's okay just close your eyes you're going to be safe," I said to him in a quiet voice moving his hair out of his eyes, he grabbed my hand. "No, I don't want to, I can't die please Kai I can't die." Cole had panic all over his face and was scared. "Cole I will not let you die remember you said to me a long time ago I got your back and there's nothing in this world that I'm afraid of," I said and lifted Cole's hand to kiss it. "I...yes...I do." Cole was trying so hard to stay awake but was breathing very shallowly. "Ugh the ninjas are not here look somewhere else," Pyphor yelled and lifted. I let out a sigh of relief. "Can we stay here for a bit?" Cole looked at me in a very sleepy way. "Until someone finds us and just close your eyes Cole I'll be here the whole time." I moved a bit so Cole was more comfortable, he did close his eyes and fell asleep.
Skylor's POV
I was asked to find Kai and Cole when we found a faint signal from Kai's mech and Lloyd asked me to go look for them before we lost touch. I snack into the city trying to remember which root they were on and I found them before they crashed, dust and rocks fell up into the air and I could not see them. I climbed onto a roof of a building and was about to go down and help them but Pyphor and his goons could be heard so I had to wait and watch them from above.
