It was a quiet day at Chopper base, everything was going about their day, reviewing details and doing routine patrols.
Hera ran up to them to the pilots as they were chatting, "Hobbie, Wedge, let's go! Move it! We're behind schedule, Phoenix Squadron I want these fighters launched and at the training coordinates by 062." Hera orders, making them scatter.
Ezra and Zeb's just fist bump each other. "Don't understand why I can't come along," Zeb complains, Leo stops as he almost passes them, goggles on his head, grease smeared on his cheek as he had a tool kit in hand.
"Zeb, you're my chief of security. I need you to stay behind and mind the base." Hera informs her. Leo grins as he walks up to them, "Oh, Hera, come on. Let me tag along. You can always use an extra pair of hands." Zeb begs her as Sabine and Kanan walk up to them.
"Just don't leave me on my own. I'll be bored to death," he complains as he walks up to the Ghost. "You won't be on your own. You have Chop, AP-5, and Leo to keep you company," she informs him as the two droids walk up to them and Leo salutes him.
Zeb just groans, "As I said, bored to death." he mutters, Kanan and Sabine step up to them, Leto hitting on Kanan's shoulder. "We'll be back before you know it," Kanan informs him.
Mako steps off the Ghost, her satchel over her shoulder, "Carry on, Captain Orrelios." Sabine salutes him. "Sorry, buddy," Ezra said with a shrug of his shoulder.
"Ah, Mako, I need to talk to you." she states, Mako stops and looks at her, seeing the frown on her face, "I don't think it's a good idea for you to come," she informs her, expecting Mako to snaps.
But the young Jedi held the strap of her satchel and nodded, "I agree." she answers, making Hera blink, "Okay, not what I was expecting." she mutters. "I thought over what you said, after Geonosis. And you're right. So I think it's best of I say here at Chopper Base. I was thinking of speaking with a local of the planet, maybe they can help me." she informs her.
Hera just blinks as Kanan walks up to them, "That's a wise choice Mako." he points out, and she looks at her. "I'm consumed in my guilt and in the dark side, I need to find my way back before it's too late," she spoke.
Kanan nods at her, "I understand, but remember we're here for you." he informs her, she nods at her, but the guilt was still fresh in her mind. Leto chirps as he whimpers. She looks at him, smiling as she steps forward and scratches under his chin. "Keep an eye on him for me," she states.
Leto just smiles, purring happily. She then steps back and looks at them, "Be careful and come back safely." she asks. They just smile at her, "Always." Ezra said, placing his hand on her shoulder. She smiles at him and nods.
Then he pulls away as she steps down the ramp, then turns and waves at them. "Did they seriously leave you in charge of this entire facility?" AP-5 questions. Zeb frowns at him. "Something wrong with that?" he questions. Leo places his hand at his hip arching his brow at him "Well, I just always assumed you were more of a "lift heavy things and punch anything in your way" type. You know, a grunt." AP-5 informs him.
Zeb grunts then growl at him, "Zeb." Mako said, placing her hand on his chest "Precisely. Now, what exactly do you do?" AP-5 questions. Leo ponders for a moment. Then Chopper spoke up, and Mako and Leo just frowns at him. "What'd he say?" Zeb questions. "He said, We've never really figured that out." AP-5 answers. Zeb just grunts "Don't you have something to do?" Zeb questions him.
"Actually, while everyone is off practicing, I intend to take this opportunity to conduct a thorough inventory of the base's munitions supply depot. Anyone one of you may assist me." AP-5 informs them. Chopper spoke up. "Eh, I'm with you, Chopper. Counting crates? Not exactly my idea of fun." Zeb spoke.
