The commanding officer stood at the war table of Chopper Base as they were looking at the holo of the Imperial Star Destroyers. "They're advancing," Amelia mutters as she paces a little.
Hera leans against the war table, "Thrawn is preparing for a planetary bombardment." she spoke as she pulls back and crosses her arms. "How's the shield coming, Zeb?" she asks. "About to fire it up now," he informs her.
The rebels work on the shield generator, "Rex and I have done our best, but this is really Sabine's baby." he states as he looks up from the panel to the generator. "Then it should work," Hera assures him.
Rex looks up at the generator, "Should, yes, but there are a lot of modifications and special fuses. We never got to test it while Sabine was still here, so if it overloads, I'm not sure we can fix it." Rex informs her.
Hera shot a look over at Amelia, who shared her worry, "Let's hope you don't have to. Fire it up." she ordered, "Copy that." Zeb answers.
The engine of the generator fires up, whirring to life and cracking with electricity. The generator fires up and activates the shields, covering the entire base in the barrier. "It's working. The shield is stabilized!" Zeb informs her.
Hera just grins, then activates the commlink, "Kanan, do you copy?" she answers, and only feedback answers, Amelia just looks over at the comms as the static wails. "Kanan, do you read?" she tries again.
Only static, Hera then looks over at Amelia, seeing the mother in her peek through as she locks eyes with Hera. "Kanan, can you hear me? Kanan?" she tries again, "Kanan!"

Suri stood afar as Kanan kept trying to shake Mako awake and Leto called out to her, "Come on, Mako. You gotta wake up." he kept calling to her as Leto nudges her leg. "Scream all you want, Kanan Jarrus. She can't hear you," she tells him.
He turns to his shoulder, "Then how can I reach her? How can I save her?" he shouts at her. Suri just smirks at him, "And why do you want to save her? She left you when you were at your lowest." she points out.
Kanan shot a growl at her, "She fell into the dark side, becoming a part of the darkness that festered inside her." she reminds him as she sat down on the rock. "And I don't care about that. I never cared about that." he snaps at her.
She just tilts her head at him, "All I ever wanted was the best for Mako, I watched her grow ever since we meet on Lothal. All she has ever been was a constant source of light because she had hope. Hope for the future of the galaxy!" she shouts.
Suri just grins as she could sense something off with the growling darkness. Leto looks to Mako, then back to Kanan then jumps onto Mako's lap

Mako growls as she kept clutching her fingers as Vader was crushed by the overwhelming force. The darkness slowly consumed her.
"...Time and time again, all Mako has ever done was be there for us, for her brother. Giving us hope every day since joined the rebellion."
Kanan's voice echos within the chamber, this makes Mako pull back as her anger pauses and the deep red pauses.
"She did her best for us, having our back and being there when we needed her. I am grateful every day because of her."
The red seeps away, pulling back as the memories of her time with the Ghost crew since the day of one meeting on Lothal.
They were happy days. Crazy days. Days of fun and adventure. And says where they were stealing from the Empire.
