Chapter 5: Hera's Heroes

On the surface of the planet of Ryloth, two Blurrgs were running along the surface as they carried two twe'lek fighters, one of them. General Syndulla and his fighter Numa.

Just behind them was an Imperial transport as they opened fire on the blurrgs. "How did they find us?" Numa questions as she looks back at the land speeders. "The Empire is getting better at anticipating our moves," Cham answers her.

She held out a detonator "This will slow them down." she said and threw it behind them, taking out one land speeder.

They then open fire on the two and Numa fired back. "Gobi, where are you? We need a pickup now!" he shouts into his commlink.

"We are not far from the Tulara Ravine. We can lose them in the maze." Numa informs him. "No good. Gobi said they mined the pass." Cham informs her as they barely miss the blaster shots.

But one hits her blurrg making her stagger for a moment, but a trooper drove in close, firing at her as she fired back.

But not paying attention to his blind spot, Cham came up right behind him and rams into his speeder. Numa did the same and her blurrg took a bite out of the speeder, forcing it to fly out of control and the trooper cries out as he was in the air.

The last remaining land speeder fires on them as they were approaching the cliffside. "Father, don't worry. We're closing on your position." Hera calls out over the comms.

"Hera, is that you? Good timing. We are running out of room." he informs her. Looking ahead as he saw the Ghost coming into view. "We're coming in from the north," she informs him.

Cham looks behind him, "There's no time for you to land." he informs her. "We're not landing. Head south," she informs him. "Hera, there is no time." Cham shouts at her. "Just turn around! We'll take care of the Empire," she assures him.

Cham and Numa slide to a stop as they look down at the long drop, "Is she serious?" Numa questions as she looks at the approaching transport land ship. Cham just scoffs with a smile. "My daughter is always serious." he informs her "Ha. Runs in the family." she jokes and they turn back around and charges towards the Empire.

The land speeder and transport speeder came to a stop. "Rebel transport incoming. Shot it down." the trooper orders and they open fire.

Cham and Numa fired right back as the Ghost flew over them, Ezra opens fire, taking out the transport speeder as the trooper ran out of the firing rain.

Cham and Numa jump over the destroyed transport ship, taking off running, the trooper jumps back onto his speeder and chases after them.

The Ghost flew in close, just above them. "Hera, how do you plan on getting us onboard?" Cham asks her. "I'm lowering the front ramp. Just jump on," she informs him. "With the Blurrgs?" he asks. "Yep. Blurrgs are welcome, too," she informs him.

The ramp opens, then one after the other, the Blurrgs stumble onto the ramp, turning into the ship. The trooper pulls up in front of the ramp, slams on the breaks, and lands on the Ghost ship, pulling out his rifle. "Ha!" he shouts.

But Numa, Zeb, Cham, and Leo aimed their blaster at him. "Hi there," Leo calls out with a grin. "You didn't think that through, did you?" Zeb questions him, Leto jumps out in front of them, snarling at him.

The trooper was stump as he lowers his blaster, "Uh..." he mutters, and Leo chuckles, "Clearly didn't think it through." he shouts to Zeb, who just chuckles. "Hey, kid, you got this outfit?" he calls out.

The trooper looks up, seeing Ezra leaning over the railing, looking down at them, "Nope." he answers. Zeb steps forward, placing his rifle away. "The kid wants your helmet. Sorry," he said and knocks the trooper out.
