Sky's POV

"Don't cry and be careful from now on, don't hurt yourself, okay?" I tell Eco to be careful as I gently clean his wound.

I was sitting in the living room along with my old man, River and his husband when we all suddenly heard a loud scream followed by Eco's name in mom's voice. We exchanged glances between us before going to the kitchen, almost running. My heart was beating rapidly at the thought of what happened to them. I knew it wasn't not mom because he was the one who called Eco and Eco was the one who screamed. What did he do? I thought and when we entered into the room, I was greeted by an horrifying scene. My heart almost skipped a beat seeing red everywhere. I ran to Eco and took his hand. I put it under the water to reduce the blood flow and then brought him to the room to do the first aid since it's not refilled in the kitchen.

"I was being careful, baby. I don't know how it happened." Eco mumbles and sniffles.

"Is it paining that bad?" I query as I put away the first aid box after finishing cleaning it.

"It is." Eco wails again as tears flow his eyes non stop.

I move closer to him and wipe his tears off his face.

"Don't cry. They must have already called the doctor, he'll be here soon." I try to console him. Seeing him crying doesn't look good.

He nods at my words and slowly controls his cry.

Just then, I hear footsteps and look at the door to see my parents, brother and his husband walking in.

"Eco, are you alright?" Mom asks worriedly while looking at now cleaned Eco's wound.

"Yes, uncle Sidney." Eco nods at mom in spite the pain.

"We already called the doctor, he'll be here soon." River says making me nod at him.

We all sit and wait for the doctor.

"Sir, the doctor is here." One of our maid informs us a while later.

"Bring him here." Old man says to which the maid nods and goes back.

Few minutes later, the doctor walks into the room and we show him Eco as the patient. He checks Eco's wound carefully and bandages it before prescribing the medicines.

"The cuts are a little deeper though not so serious it still needs proper care and regular dressing for a week. Make sure not to move the hand much so that the cuts can close faster. I've prescribed some painkillers, antibiotics and fever tablets, just in case if he gets fever by tonight or next day in case his body can't resist the pain." The doctor explains and hands the prescription to me.

"Thank you, doctor." I thank him and he smiles before leaving.

"Come on, let's eat breakfast so that Eco can take his medicine and rest." Old man says once the doctor is gone.

We all then make our way downstairs and get settled.

"Hmm..I'm sorry, this morning got ruined because of me." Eco apologises as we sit.

"Actually, it's me who should apologise. I'm sorry, Eco. I shouldn't have let you work knowing you're not familiar with it. It's all my fault that you got hurt." Mom says with tears glistening his eyes. Dad rubs mom's shoulder as he's feeling bad about the situation and blaming himself.

"Mama, don't blame yourself. Everyone knows you wouldn't tell anything to Eco if you knew he isn't good at it." I grab his hand in mine as I tell him.

He always puts the blame on himself first.

"Yes, uncle Sidney. What Sky said is true. It's not your fault, don't apologise. I wasn't just careful." Eco agrees with me, "also, I'll be careful from now on and won't cause any troubles to you."

"It's not trouble at all, Eco. We just don't want anything to happen to you." Mom assures Eco.

"Um...bro, how are you gonna eat your food now?" Ivan's voice makes me look at him as I know he's the one who calls Eco as bro.

At his words, I look at Eco's hand and frown. Yes, how is he going to eat when his hand it hurt? He cut the fingers of his right hand. Since he's a left handed person, he might have hold the knife with left hand and the veggies with right. So, when he got my fingers cut, it's of his right hand. He can't even hold the spoon as all his four fingers are bandaged. And even a left handed person, Eco doesn't eat using left hand. He uses right.

"I'll help Eco." Before he could even say anything, I reply.

Eco snaps at me in shock. Maybe because I'm volunteering to help him?

"Cool!" Ivan smirks at me and starts his food. The others too start eating.

I move my chair further towards him and cut the pancake as I bring it up to him. He gazes at me in surprise.

"Eat." I whisper so he opens my mouth and grabs the piece.

He don't even look at the others as his eyes fix on me as I'm helping him to eat his breakfast. I didn't touch my plate yet because I'm busy feeding him. Once he finish eating, I then start eating mine. By now the others have already finished their breakfast and left. It's just I and Eco. I told him to go and rest but he wants to wait for me. After eating, I and Eco go back to the room. Getting in the room, he sits on the bed while resting his back on the headboard.

"Here, take the medicine." I give him the medicine and he takes them.

I gave the prescription to the driver who went and bought the medicines when we were eating breakfast.

"How are you feeling now?" I ask him as I help him lay down properly.

"I'm not feeling so good, not bad though but the pain is becoming more as time passing by." Eco replies and closes his eyes.

"You took medicine, right! It'll slowly get better. Sleep now." I tell him.

He slowly drifts off to sleep maybe because of the medicines power. After he sleeps, I cover him with a blanket and take one last look at him before leaving the room. I go to my study room after informing my mom and sit in front of my laptop. I just check mails and complete if there's any incomplete work left.

I get engrossed in the work that I don't mind the time until I hear a knock on the door and look up to find my mom entering in.

"Sky, Eco is looking for you. He has fever, did you give him fever medicine?" Mom asks me worriedly.

"No, mama. I just gave him antibiotics and painkillers. The doctor told to give fever medicine only if he develops fever." I explain him as I get up.

"He came downstairs. He looks so sick and tired. He couldn't even walk properly, I helped him to sit and asked him why isn't he resting when he's feeling ill. He said he's searching for you to ask whether you gave him fever medicine." Mom tells me as we leave the study room and walk to the living room.

There, I see Eco sitting on the couch while fully resting his body on the back of the couch. I sit next to him and check his forehead which is burning. I gently tap on his cheek to wake him up as he's already sleeping just by sitting here.

"Eco." I call his name.

He opens his eyes with difficulty and sees me sitting in front of him.

"Baby," He calls me and pulls his body away from the couch.

But then not being in stable condition, he couldn't control his body and ends up slumping down on me instead.

"Come on, I'll take you to the room and give you medicine." I mumble and get up as I carry him in my hands.

"Sky, I'll prepare porridge. Tell him to eat after taking the medicine. It'll be easy to digest and help in healing as well." Mom says to which I nod at him and head to the room.

I carry him to the room and place him on the bed before giving him medicine. A while later, mom brings porridge to Eco. I help him eat and put him to sleep as I help him lay on the bed and then cover him properly. I decide to stay next to him so that he won't come in search of me again if he needs anything.

As I sit and watch him, I can't help but feel weird. It's not common to see a quite and dull Eco. He's always so energetic and cheerful. And that suits him well. I hope that by the time he wakes up next time he'll be fine. It doesn't feel good to see him being feeling sick and laying on the bed with pale face and dried lips like a patient.
