chapter 42: Sash queen

Eco's POV

"The hell! What's all this?" The lady screams at me.

"Don't shout at my husband." Sky comes to my rescue, he looks surprised and nervous but still doesn't like that the lady is shouting at me.

"Kiss him then? He threw water on my face, Sky. What did I do?" She questions him.

"Hey, don't yell at my baby." I shout at her because she's yelling at Sky.

"God! You two are crazy! First you throw water on my face and when I ask about it, you guys are defending each other and playing with me. Tell me why did I deserve this?" She questions me while folding her hands on her chest.

Trying to show off or what? Stupid lady! She doesn't even have big boobs though, mine are growing even bigger than her.

"I did this because I didn't like your make up. I just wanted to clean it." I mumble while moving closer to Sky and holding him with one hand while my other hand is on my belly.

"You what?" She's yelling again, she looks at me with utter shock.

"Your make up is too much and too bad. Don't you know how to do it well? The moment I saw your face, my baby moved so crazily in my belly so I hit you." I explain her.

"Sky, I'm done! This will be my last meeting with you. I'll tell my company that I can't continue to work with you anymore. Either they'll withdraw our contact or appoint someone is my place is none of my business. This is such an insult for me. Bye!" After hearing me, she don't say anything to me but warns Sky and leaves.

Once the door gets closed behind her, I turn to Sky and see him messaging his head.

"Baby, are you angry at me? You might lose the contract with them. But what can I do? I felt like voting seeing her and my baby was feeling so uneasy." I speak to Sky.

"I'm not angry," he states, "but Eco that was too much. You could have just told me so I would send her off if you couldn't see her face."

"What if I tell you there's another reason as well?" I question him, "I remember because of her I waited for an hour and both of us argued. I couldn't see her face and adding to that I remember the last time incident, so I had to throw the water." Sky gulps as I speak.

"Y-you still remember that?" He whispers like a scared puppy.

"I never forgot." I shake my head as no, "anyway, as I promised I believe you, I know you won't cheat on me but if you ever do I'll chop off your balls and feed it to the birds." He gulps again because of my warning.

"Come on, baby, let's eat lunch. I'm hungry." I call him with a smile and pull him towards the couch.

Sky feels nervous at first but slowly he relaxes as we eat our food. We talk about some random stuff as we eat. When we finish eating, I rest on the couch as I lay my head on Sky's lap.

"Baby, I'm nervous for tomorrow." I mumble while yawning.

"Don't worry, it'll go well." He assures me, "sleep." I hum as I fall asleep.

"Don't put too much. But make me look beautiful and natural. My baby doesn't like make up." I warm the make up artist who is making me ready.

Yesterday when I saw Sky's client with heavy make up, our baby moved so crazily in my belly so I think the baby don't like make up or didn't like the person who made it's parents argue.

"Okay, sir." She nods and starts her work.

Today is our baby shower party and uncle Sidney appointed a lady who will help me to look the best at the party. That was my request and he arranged this. There are photographers who are going to capture today's event so I want myself to look best. Even after years, when I think back and look at the album, it should be decent and good. Sky choose a light peach suit for me, I liked his taste. When I wear it, it's making me look so soft and gentle, like a feather. And I don't want this lady to ruin my look with heavy make up so I'm warning her before hand.

Sky specially arranged everything for this party because he wanted to do it himself. The balloons, confetti, cake and there's also sash, everything is of my choice. We invited many guests too. He's doing everything that'll make me happy.

Soon I get ready and was about to leave the room when Sky walks in. He wore a suit too, the style is same as mine but the colour is different. He looks stunning.

"Baby, you look beautiful." He compliments as he walks to me and holds my face in his face.

"You look great too." I somehow feel shy to look at him so I keep my head down.

"What's wrong?" He asks immediately.

"N-nothing, I-I'm just shy." I whisper while shuttering.

When did I become like this?

"W-what?" Sky looks horrified, "I think I need to make a call."

"To whom?" I call out confused.

"To Guinness Book of World records." Now I'm the one that's gets confused by his words, "it's such a rare sight to see you getting shy and becoming a blushing mess. It's my first time and I'm not sure if I'm going to see in the future ever."

"Baby!" I hit him on his on chest because he's teasing me.

He laughs and I turn away from him with a pout, "sorry, baby. I was just joking. Come, let's go. The party will only start when we're there."

We both make our way out and see people everyone gathered in the hall. Uncle Sidney and uncle Elijah, River, his husband and their baby Blue, my parents and our guests, everyone is here. My lips curl into a big smile because so many people came to see us, me and our baby. Hand in hand and smiling at each other, together Sky and I walk down the stairs and stand in front of the crowd. Everyone stops whatever they're doing and turn to us.

The party gets started and uncle Sidney hands the sash to Sky so that he'll be the one to wear it to me. I couldn't help the smile seeing the sash. I've been wanting to wear it since River's party and finally today is my day. Knowing my love towards it, Sky specially ordered it for me. He puts the sash on me and adjust it perfectly.

"All hail the sash queen!" Ivan screams like a manic and earns a glare from me.

He came to know about my love for sash. As Sky specially ordered it for me, Ivan queried him as why even order one when they're many available in the market. It was then Sky revealed my love for it and Ivan has been teasing me about it.

"Stop it, honey." River hits his husband on his tummy.

The scene earns a few laughs from the guests.

We then proceed with the party. The photographers do their duty as they keep clicking pictures and records video of the events. Everyone watches eagerly as Sky holds the balloon which has the gender of the baby and I'm given the niddle to burst it. When Sky nods at me to do it, I burst the balloon. Everyone claps and the confetti gets thrown on us and all around.

However, suddenly everything stops as the baby's gender gets revealed. Everyone looks so confused and bewildered. It's understandable though because when I burst the balloon, either blue or pink confetti should have been splashed over but it didn't. White colour is what it contained so no one understood what's happening here. They mumble among themselves in whispers.

"What does white represent?" We finally hear someone asking.

"It means we don't know the gender yet." Uncle Sidney says.

Yeah, we don't the gender of our baby. We want to keep it as a surprise till the end. People gets confused, it's understandable but we wanted this party. So, we had no choice but to celebrate it even without knowing it. Actually it's my idea and when I told my family members, they were surprised like these guests because if we're not revealing the gender then why even celebrate the party? However they understood that I so want this celebrations so they arranged this.

Our concept stuns the guests but our happiness is what matters. Everyone together decided this only to make me happy and it did. I'm the most happiest now.

Tomorrow will be the last chapter...the story is ending. I'm really gonna miss Sky and Eco, especially Eco. But I also have no more storyline to continue since I've written everything I planned. I'm also scared to prolong it more and make it boring which will ruin the overall image of the book. I'm a little sad as this book is finishing because I'm really gonna miss Eco, somehow his character became close to me😔
