With a ginger hand, I watch as the Orange Elite brushes a strand of Light's hair out of his face.

Grace... I could see it in his eyes that he was hurting. Yet he was willing to take the role of being Leader of the Colorless Guard while Light was injured.. or... At least I hope Light was only injured and would heal. If he was killed I...

I couldn't bear the thought of loosing him.

Despite everything, Light was one of the people who remembered everything in our past and was able to help me fill in some gaps of my memory. I couldn't loose him. I couldn't loose somebody else so dear to me. My friend.

"Light didn't discuss it much with me, for it was... more of a personal matter for him." I pause a moment to glance off to the side. I wanted to word this in the best way I could without it seeming like I was going to be doing everything for him... Grace wasn't ready yet and needed help with the strings of things. "For now, Grace... Take it easy. I can try my best to help you out since I know a bit more about Light's routine and how he went about things." I mumble as I look up at the ceiling, recalling how I would be alongside Light for a lot of the day.

"I... Thank you, Lieutenant." Grace says softly as I stand up, gently shaking my head as I did.

"You've earned the right to call me just, 'Time', a long time ago, Grace. Feel free to call me that instead of, Lieutenant." He pauses a moment, then nods to me. It'd take him a bit to adjust to things, but I'd try to make everything as painless for him as I could.

I stand up, then walk over to the door, looking only a moment at Light's bandaged form. I felt like there was more I could do, but I didn't know what. Grace stays there, quietly as he gripped the bedsheets.

Without a sound, I exit the room and shut the door behind me quietly. I let out a soft sigh, then walk down the hall. I think it was time for the other leaders to be alerted of the news. I... I had to honor my role. As a friend and as Lieutenant to the Colorless Guard.

Light... He didn't just give me that role for nothing.

When he had found me, all those years ago, I had barely hung on. The pain was excruciating when I fully came to consciousness. Having been blown back by the portal fluxing on me and a energy wave lashing out and hitting me square in the face, I had been in and out of reality. My mind sent me into a series of dreams and memories with only vaguely coming out of the dreams for short times to see a blue sky, or even a rainy one with little droplets hitting my face.

Yet during the seven month time I had been in recovery, I had trained with Light. He had been a bit hesitant, as well as his Elite, Leif, but it had been a way for me to remember. Moving quickly with exerting little amounts of my powers at times sparked random memories: like a sunny day with sunbeams shining through a window onto my cooking or petting a fluffy dog with a green collar and a golden nametag that I could barely read.

But... Light had named me as Lieutenant after a very eventful day.

The day we received news of Sol being missing.

CLANG. CLANK.

I grit my teeth, sidestepping quickly as Light jabbed a spear strike towards my shoulder. I quickly parry with my sword, then raise my shield as Light recovers and swings again. Shifting under the impact, I grimace, then step and swing forward, Light darting backward to avoid the hit.

With a small grimace, Light backs up further, sweat dripping down his forehead. He stabs his spear head into the ground, signaling to take a break from sparring.
