|Sabre|

Light reflected off of the floor to the ceiling of my room as I lay on my bed. I had taken a nap after getting back to this place with M, and felt partially refreshed. Still tired a bit, but it wasn't overly much. The soft and sweet scent of flowers drift along in my room and gives it a refreshing feeling that was kind and soft.

I shift over to my side from my back and gaze over at the wallpaper, quietly counting the flowers on it and tracing their ornate patterns. I didn't have much to do right now. M left a note saying that he was gone for a meeting, and would be back later. My eyes glance to the note over on the nightstand by my pillow and I reach over to grab it again and read it.

Hey Sabre! Gone to meet with the other leaders. Don't know how long it'll take, but I'll come right back once we are done.

His handwriting was so neat and in cursive, making it feel so formal. I chuckle to myself a moment as I remember how my dad once taught me how to read and write in cursive. It was such a hectic time with my writing turning into drawings.

A smile creeps across my face as I remember my dad. It was so long since I had seen him last... I wonder how he was doing...

With a sigh, I set the paper back down on the nightstand and sit up, stretching a bit. I might as well see how Lucas is doing. He never liked being cooped up much. I flop my arms down and let out a long sigh before I stand up. After talking with that one Steve... Veda, I felt kind of better. Some bad memories had been brought up, but I had spoke up about some of the things that had been bothering me, so I felt a lot better about thinking about them.

I walk over to the door, then open it, not realizing I had touched the doornob without being afraid. I pause, realizing I had left my notebook, then turn around and grab it off of my nightstand alongside the pen. I go back to the open door, then head out into the hall. My eyes trail around from under my blindfold, taking in the beauty of the architecture of this place.

Have to admit... This place was nice. A lot had really happened in the space between my leaving the timeline, then coming back. Steves were thriving and living in peace. It all felt so nice. I guess with what I did... I truly helped the Steves. A smile creeps onto my face again as I walk down the hall, notebook in hand. My footsteps echo through the halls as I take a right, then a left, then another right and left, then end up in the hallway that I knew Lucas's room was in. A guard stood at the doorway, his face covered by a helmet as he stood watch. As I approach, he turns to look at me, his spear held in his right while his other hand was tucked behind his back.

"Well, hello." He greets me and I nod. "Is it alright for me to enter?" I ask him and he nods, then shifts his left hand to open the door for me. "Go right ahead, Sabre." I notice him simply use my name and give him a smile. "Thank you."

As I walk in, I notice that the curtains were open, letting in the sunlight from outside. A pretty violet color basked the room, reflecting off of the floor. As I walk further into the room, the guard shuts the door behind me, prompting me to turn my head.

A page turn catches my attention and I look right as Lucas looks up at me from reading a book, his face turning a smile. I could instantly tell he was better. He was wearing a different set of clothes. A black shirt with tan, khaki shorts, and what looked like flipflops, but I knew that some of the Violet Steves wore those shoes. Alongside these new clothes, he was dangling a leg off of the bed while sitting on the sheets.

"Sabre! Hey man!" He sets the book off to the side and sits up. I blink confused. Wasn't he- Still in pain this morning? What happened between that time and now? "Hey Lucas. You look a lot better." I say as I walk over and sit on the bed beside him. He gives me a sheepish nod and then lifts his shirt, showing  off what was just now a fading scar of the claw marks.
