Chapter 35

I heard the door open while I was talking and turned curiously. "MINWOO!!!!!!" I screamed, running and tackling her to the ground.

"Hi. Eli. Oppa," she choked under my weight. "Can't. Breathe."

"Whoopsie, sorry!" I stood up and helped my crushed Minwoo up from the ground. "So, what brings you here?"

"Hi Minwoo~~" Kiseop cooed, walking out of the kitchen and ruffling her hair. "It's been a while."

"I know~ >.<" she whined. "I was hoping to see Dongho. Is he here?"

Hoonmin shook his head while he returned his cup to the kitchen. "No, he isn't here. Sorry Hyomin. Was it important?"

She looked ready to say something and then dejectedly shook her head. "No... It wasn't important..." I patted her head and leaned down.

"Hey, why don't you stick around? He'll be home soon! Plus, I doubt Kevin would ever forgive you if you left this apartment without seeing him!" She burst into laughter at my words and I smiled. "Take a seat, why don't you? It could be good for you considering you're so busy all of the time!"

She nodded and seated herself at the small table at the foot of the couch and then sighed. "Would you like something to drink?" AJ offered from the kitchen.

"Just water please," she replied with a smile. "Hey, listen guys, I'm sorry that I haven't been coming by to wake you up!"

AJ walked out and joined Kiseop, Hoon, Minwoo, and I at the table. He slid a glass of water across to Hyomin and she nodded her thanks. "It's not your fault that you haven't been coming by," I laughed loosely. "You're a big, famous actress now and you're sort of starting your solo career! Plus, you've got a concert coming up, and you're scheduled to start your world tour in November!"

Hoon nodded in agreement and teasingly whined, "Dongsaeng~~ Give us some of your popularity~ >.<"

"Yeah~!" Kiseop agreed promptly. "We're so poor~~ >.<"

She smiled and held back her laughs while she sipped on her water. There was a sudden buzzing and I jumped in surprise. "That'll be Soohyun, Kevin, and Dongho," AJ pointed out, getting to his feet and propping the front door open. Hyomin got to her feet and winked at us before dashing into the kitchen and preparing something at a breakneck speed.

"Hey, help us with the groceries~~" Soohyun called to us as he stumbled in with Kevin and Dongho. Their arms were laden with shopping bags of fresh food and I shuddered with happiness when I smelled it.

"Aigoo~!" Dongho exclaimed as he placed the heavy bags on the table. "This is so heavy!"

"At least we finally bought some food!" Kevin pointed out excitedly. "I'm starved! What's for dinner?"

Kiseop flicked his head lightly with a laugh. "Whatever you bought ingredients for, Kevin!" The younger boy blushed and I shot Hyomin a nod. She gave me a thumbs up and walked quietly out of the kitchen.

"I bring salad!" she announced loudly, causing Soohyun and Dongho to jump in surprise. "Eat well~"

Things seemed to move in slow motion as Dongho ran to her and yanked her into a hug. The tray with salad flew into the air and my mouth dropped open as Kevin dived forward and flopped onto his back as the tray came crashing down, the bowls tossing salad everywhere. I watched Kevin's arms go up and catch the falling tray and cringed as the bowls clattered a top it.

"Oh, that was too close!" Kevin cried as Kiseop helped him to his feet. Be more careful Dong-" His mouth dropped open and I whirled around.

"Oh... My..." Hoon murmured. AJ's mouth fell open and he covered Kevin's wide eyes. Dongho was gripping the sides of Hyomin's face and had his lips locked with hers. "Kevin, don't look!"

"SHIN DONG HO! Let go of her!" Soohyun-Hyung cried, struggling fiercely while AJ and Kiseop held him back. "I'm going to kill you Maknae~~~! >.<"

Hyomin pulled away and stared at his face. "Sh- Shin Dong Ho..." she murmured, her face burning. With that, her eyes started watering and she grabbed her bag and dashed out of the apartment. Dongho groaned and raced after her while the rest of us stood unmoving and deadly silent.

"What just happened?" Kiseop asked us quietly. None of us had an answer and just shook our heads with confusion.

"Hyomin, wait!" I pleaded as I chased my fleeing girlfriend. She sighed and then stopped and waited while I caught up to her. "I'm sorry. I must have shocked you... Please don't be mad at me."

She avoided my eyes and then mumbled, "Dongho-ah, I didn't run because I was mad at YOU. I ran because I was mad at myself." I cocked my head to one side and stared at her curiously. "Shin Dong Ho, you are one of the best things that has happened to me and I take advantage of you. I don't deserve you! You dote on me hand and foot and answer to my every whim! I run around with other boys and barely see you! I'm the worst girlfriend ever and I'm so sorry that you ended up with me!" She broke into tears and rested her forehead on my chest.

I was silent and stroked her hair as she sobbed into my hoodie. She was shaking and sniffling and I sighed heavily. "Hyomin-ah... Please stop crying and listen to me." She continued crying silently and shook in my arms. "Do you know why I asked you to be my girlfriend?" She shook her head against my chest and I smiled and hugged her against my body. "I asked because you were the most interesting girl that I had ever met. You were just so different that I knew you had to be mine."

"Really?" she sniffled, her voice cracking.

I rested my head on top of hers and laughed softly. "Yes Hyomin, really. Even now, you continue to surprise me with how different you are! If any girl had been kissed like that she would have been ecstatic! You broke into tears and ran away! You're special to me, alright? I don't care what you do or who you meet as long as you can still tell me that you love me above everyone else."

"I do," she told me sincerely in a muffled voice with a nod. "I really, really, REALLY do!"

"So then what's the big deal?" I asked her jokingly with an amused smile forming on my lips.

"Me." At her reply, I sternly whacked the top of her head. "YAH! Oppa, daeche wae geuleon jis-eul haess-eulkka?! (Why the hell would you do that?!)" she screeched angrily. "That was so uncalled for!"

I shrugged and patted her head. "That what you get for saying stupid things~" She gave me a death glare and then a small smirk formed on her lips. "You know I love you~" I cooed with a wide smile.

A smile danced on her lips and she nodded and pressed her lips against mine. "You're right Dongho. I do love you. I'll see you soon~ I hope you'll walk the carpet with me next week! Also, I hope you'll come for my wedding pictures tomorrow, hmm?"

He gave me a thumbs up and winked. "I wouldn't miss it for anything! I have to make sure I'm handing my little Gwiyeomdung-i off to a good man!"

"I assure you, you are!" she laughed, hooking arms with me and walking back to my building. "Make sure you're there by 3:40, okay? Tell Soohyun-Oppa and everyone!" I nodded and pecked her cheek before dashing up the stairs inside. As I felt her staring at me, something in my heart told me that our relationship just might last a while.

"Dongho, you're back!" Kevin cheered as I burst into my apartment. "I hope things went well with Minwoo."

"Peachy," I replied with a grin. "By the way, she's having wedding photos taken and she wants us there with her tomorrow, okay? 3:40! Don't forget!"

"Wouldn't dream of it!" Soohyun-Hyung called with an amused tone. "I have to make sure that L.Joe boy is good for my Dongsaeng!"

"Tiger Mom Soohyun has returned," Kiseop-Hyung whispered in my ear with a laugh. "He's back and he's prepared to protect her."

I laughed and then smiled as AJ-Hyung walked up to us. "Soohyun-Eomma is back and better than ever. Lets hope things don't backfire like last time."

Oy... Last time... I didn't even want to remember the last time...
