Chapter 20

"Hyomin! You made it!" Ilhoon-Oppa exclaimed, sitting up on the couch with a grin. "I hope that you're ready to listen to the best mix ever!"

"Ready as usual Ilhoon!" I laughed, plopping down beside him as he pulled up something off of the computer and handed me an earbud with a wink. I put the earbud in and my mouth dropped open as the most beautiful music I'd ever heard drifted through the speaker.

Ilhoon was silent and we sat side by side, our heads pressed together as we listened. It was a sort of techno, classical, pop blend that mashed together in a unique way. I was in completely shock at how amazing it sounded and began humming when the chorus came back around.

As it slowly ended, Ilhoon pulled the bud out and eagerly inquired, "So, what'd you think? :D" I couldn't think of words for it and remained speechless. "Hello? Earth to Hyomin?"

I snapped out of my trance and grabbed Ilhoon's shoulders. "Jung Il Hoon, I want to sing this," I insisted. "Can I sing it?"

He laughed and told me, "Of course you can! It's your anniversary present after all!"

"ILHOON!" I squealed happily, throwing my arms around his neck and burying my face in his shirt. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

He nodded with a grin and then said, "Of course, you can't sing it alone. It's a quartet. Singing duo and a rap duo."

My mouth dropped open in shock. "Ilhoon, you designed this song for you, me, Aecha, and Hyunsik, didn't you?! :O"

He nodded and then corrected me, "Actually, I designed it for you, me, Aecha, and SUNGJAE, but close enough."

"Ahh~ The Maknaes," I murmured knowingly. He nodded consent and I clapped happily. "Aigoo~~ I wanna record now!"

"We can't! You have to record your anniversary album with Beast first!" he protested loosely, obviously satisfied with my excitement. I began whining and Ilhoon remained firm in me waiting until after our anniversary album was released before we began any work on his song. Plus, we would have to write lyrics first.

Oh, excitement!

I kept trying to convince Ilhoon to write lyrics with me right at that moment so that we could go record. It ended with us getting into a tickle war and I was forced to retreat down the hallway before I located Eunkwang and Hyunsik from BTOB and took cover behind them.

Sadly... They were on Ilhoon's side and we ran around the Cube building making the halls echo with laughs and the thudding of sneakers on the ground.

I frantically attempted to break away from U-Kiss to go find my Dongsaeng. Dongho was silent as Hoon restricted me. "Hey Dongho, cheer up! Hyomin was just in shock, that's all," AJ insisted, attempting to cheer the Maknae up.

"I know," he finally said, surprising all of us. "I understand. I'm not thinking about Hyomin right now... I'm thinking about U-Kwon... How could he do that? He knew she'd liked him for a while... To bring his unannounced girlfriend to lunch when she just got back... That was cruel and unnecessary."

I nodded furiously in agreement, still hell-bent on going to find Minwoo. "Kevin, would you calm down?" Soohyun growled. I jumped slightly as my Hyung's deadly tone and sat down obediently. "Dongho is right... What was that crazy U-Kwon playing at?"

"Maybe he thought that it wasn't true?" Eli attempted, earning looks of annoyance from the others. "Just a suggestion..."

I finally spoke. "Eli is right. I know he is! I feel it in my heart! Plus, this magic 8 ball, a gift from a fan , tells me that he is right!"
