~~~~~~~ Hyomin ~~~~~~~
Neil was freaking out and virtually had a panic attack as the camera crew began recording L.Joe and I going on our first date. Teen Top was attending as well to supervise us. C.A.P-Oppa kept shooting us suspicious glares as we walked down the sidewalk towards Tapgol Park.
"Byunghun-Oppa~" I whispered in his ear as we walked behind Changjo and Neil. "Where are we going?"
"Apparently... Tapgol Park?" he replied with a shrug and a confused expression. "Do you want to ditch them and go somewhere cooler?" I cocked my head to one side as I stared at Chunji playing a poking game with Ricky and then shook my head with a small smile.
"Minsoo-Oppa~~" I cooed, causing all of the boys to stop and turn. "Oppa, can we go to Banpo Hangang Park?"
He cocked his head to one side and then looked at Byunghun with a suspicious glare. "Sure Hyomin. Come on Byunghun~" he commanded with a slightly cooing voice, pulling L.Joe away from me. I quickly grabbed his arm and pulled him against my body and away from C.A.P-Oppa.
"Minsoo-ah~ This one is mine," I joked, batting my eyelashes playfully as I smiled at Byunghun. Neil shook his head with a smile before whispering something to the other boys.
"You know," he mumbled after he finished his secret conversation. "We actually have business to attend to what with preparations for concerts and such~ We'll just leave you both to your own device!" Chunji-Oppa exclaimed with an awkward smile.
Neil winked at me and I waved at him with a small smile. "Bye Neily~" I whispered as he walked bye me.
"Bye Penguin~ ;)" he laughed. "Have fun!" Ricky and Changjo waved to me while they bounced excitedly before skipping off after their Hyungs. I turned to L.Joe who smirked adorably and then placed a defensive arm around my waist.
"Alright, so how about some lunch?" I nodded in agreement and he ruffled my hair with a smile before leading me off down the sidewalk towards Yongsan-gu. "Do you want to get Indian food? I know you don't get it as often as you would like since you live in Seoul," he said softly in a sweet voice.
"I would like that," I agreed in a shy voice, feeling his fingers interlace with mine as we walked down the sidewalk towards the Banpo Bridge and I began thinking about going to Itaewon-dong for the famous international cuisine offered there.
Itaewon-dong was the cultural hub of Seoul. It had cuisine from around the world that set it apart from the rest of the city. This also made it a tourist hub along with Insadong in Jongno-gu. Itaewon-dong was home to the Seoul Central Mosque and several other popular attractions. I had gone there quite often when I was still in training and had always tried to get something different to eat whenever I was on my way to see Jiyeon, Woohyun, Kibum, or Dongjin.
All in all, Itaewon-dong was what made Yongsan-gu one of my favorite gu's in Seoul. I hadn't even scratched the surface of all of the wonders of Yongsan-gu or Jongno-gu! However, now that I was going with L.Joe, I felt confident that I would finally be able to assert myself in the crazy markets.
Haggling was a common pastime in the markets of all of the gu's and dong's of Seoul. Itaewon-dong was famous for haggling, the reasonably priced leather, and authentic Korean souvenirs that were found in very few other places. All of the major hotels were in Itaewon-dong along with the various peddlers known for creating custom suits for people.
Red Light Districts were common in any country in the world. Seoul was no exception. Itaewon-dong contained 'Hooker Hill', the district popular with GIs that were stationed in Seoul to keep watch over the 38th Parallel. Due to previous situations, locally stationed military police officers kept watch over 'the Hill'. The Red Light District was regulated just as much, if not more, than the rest of the city and its districts.
