The man pulled an I.D. card out of his pocket and held it up to a scanner. I heard a beep as the door opened. Standing in the room were two very official-looking Alphas in AFM t-shirts. On the far side of the room, Charity and Zaria were tied to chairs with their mouths duct taped shut. Miranda was tied up and dangling from a hook on the ceiling upside-down. Lots of blood had rushed to her head, because her face was a dark reddish-brown and she looked dazed. One of the men was holding a knife to Charity's face. Luckily, all three of them were alive. They all looked at us as though they had been frozen in time.

One of the Alphas looked at the man by us and rolled his eyes. "What is it, Raven? We're a little busy at the moment."

Raven pulled us into the room. "Sir, your daughter wanted to see you."

The guy who had spoken before scowled. He was pretty terrifying. For starters, half of his face was burned, so he looked sort of like a raisin. Barbecue face, I thought to myself. The unburned side of his face wasn't much better. He had yellowish skin and crystal-blue eyes, and his face was lumpy and bruised. He bore the mark of a crooked swirl, which seemed fitting. "I don't have a daughter," he growled.

Raven looked down at me, his hazel eyes burning into my skull. "Really?"

The other guy seized me. "Let me go!" I screamed. Panic filled Zane's eyes. "What's the plan now?!"

"I didn't think we'd make it to this moment!" He shouted back. Raven tried to grab him, but Zane darted behind him and flipped him over. Barbecue face was pretty quick and made his way over to Zane almost in the span of about half a second. Zane almost flipped him too, but he was too heavy. He snatched him up with one arm and slung him over his shoulder. Zane was kicking, punching, and screaming, but the man seemed unfazed.

"What are you doing?!" Barbecue face yelled to Raven. "Get up. He didn't flip you that hard, weakling! And you," He looked at the Alpha holding me. "Quit standing around! Tie her up or something!"

"Yes sir," he said, using one hand to hold me and one to salute. He pulled a chair from the corner and tied me up to it.

"This is anarchy!" I screamed as loud as I could. "The authorities will hear about this! They'll shut you down! Hope you like prison, you pieces of garbage!"

He placed a piece of tape over my mouth, which really sucked, because I had some choice words I wanted to say to him. Barbecue face tied Zane to a chair next to me. I looked at my friends. Miranda looked like she was about to pass out. Zaria was giving Raven and Barbecue face a bitter glare. Charity was on the verge of tears. Once they were done tying Zane up, they dragged him, Charity, and Miranda to the center of the room. They set Miranda on the floor, where the blood started to flow out of her head. Barbecue face tore the duct tape off of Charity and Miranda's faces.

"You three, I know you," he said. He glared at Miranda. The color drained from her face. "First we'll deal with the traitor." He picked her up and propped her against the wall. When he moved his hand away, she tried to bite him. He responded with a smack across the face.

Zaria and I began screaming. Her eyes turned black. I could see her elongated claws scratching at the ropes. Her ears were laid against her head so flat that you couldn't even see them. My vision began to flicker and fade out like a bad T.V. station. I caught a glimpse of Raven holding a knife to Zaria's nose. She continued growling at him until he smacked her across the face as well. Her eyes went back to normal as she shrank back in fear. That only made me angrier. The other guy came over and held a knife to my face as well. The point of it was touching the tip of my nose. I felt a drop of blood trickle down my face. All of my friends were staring at me, too stunned and terrified to speak. I growled at him, but he just smiled and moved the knife down to my duct-taped mouth. "Can't move. Can't speak. Can't scream for help. What'll happen to you now?"
