Frexien stays kneeling there holding Karina’s motionless body. Everyone quietly stand watching, shocked in disbelief over what they see. Shadow sensei slowly walks over to Frexien and kneels down on one leg and puts his hand over Frexien’s shoulder.

“Frexien… We have to take her to a hospital as soon as possible. She could still have a chance. We have to be quick though.” Shadow sensei tells Frexien in a concerned tone. Frexien looks up at Shadow sensei, tears still running down his face. He gives a slight nod and Shadow sensei tries to help him pick Karina up.

“No, this is my fault. Let me take her there myself.” Frexien tells Shadow sensei. His voice still sounded a bit demonic but it was kind. He lifts Karina up and holds her in his arms and carries her towards the rooftop entry way leading downstairs. Everyone around remains quiet, only watching Frexien carry Karina away. Frexien walks past them, not looking at any of them. His black hair covered his eyes.

“Frexien…” Sophie tries to head towards him but gets cut off by Nala and Kira. They wait for Frexien to be out of earshot and out of sight. Nala turns and glares at Sophie.

“This is all your fault you know.” Nala snapped at Sophie. Kira turned to face Sophie as well. She looked really upset.

“If you hadn’t let him up here none of this would have happened.” Kira snaps at her while Sora and the others run over quickly.

“What’s going on? What do you mean it’s all her fault?” Zero questions Nala and Kira. Everyone looks at both Nala and Kira with concerned faces.

“Nala saw Sophie head up to the roof earlier in quite a hurry. She was leaving behind a trail of her magic so that Frexien could pick up the trail easily since his aura senses are still not fully back to normal. She left so much energy even Nala felt it. She saw Frexien run straight up after her. She came and told me and we deiced to leave it alone. But now this happens.” Kira finishes sounding really angry. Tears start forming in Sophie’s eyes. “Why did you have to bring him up here? None of this would have happened.” Kira yells out in frustration.

“I didn’t mean for any of this to happen. How was I supposed to know something like THIS was going to happen?” Sophie tries to defend herself through her tears.

“If you hadn’t gotten all selfish and led him up here just for yourself all of this could have been avoided.” Nala yells back at her taking one step towards Sophie. Suddenly Shadow sensei appears in front of the girls.

“Hey that’s enough. There’s no way the Sophie could have known this was going to happen. Sure it wasn’t one of the greatest ideas cutting class to be up here with a boy.” Shadow sensei pauses for a moment. “But that doesn’t mean it was her fault Frexien was attacked. In fact it’s the schools fault for getting lazy with the protection spells maintenance.” Shadow continues on sounding really annoyed. “You guys get back to class. I’m sure there are enough problems at the moment for you girls to be starting more trouble. I’ll go with Frexien and Karina and let you guys know how she’s doing.” He heads down towards the entryway and then out of sight. Nala and Kira both look down still a bit upset. Sora and Roman look at each other then nod. They each walk to their girlfriends and grab their hands.

“Come on you two. It’s not fair blaming Sophie for all this. Let’s get going ok?” Sora tells Kira then looks at Nala.

“Yea I’m sure she had her reasons for leading him up here. There was also no way she knew that would’ve happened. Come on we can go see if Karina is okay after class.” Roman tells Nala then looks over at Kira. Both Nala and Kira reluctantly follow Sora and Roman downstairs leaving Sophie by herself. She mutters to herself in a low sad tone.

“It wasn’t my fault.” She says with tears flowing down her face.

Grex’s unconscious body gets swallowed up by a dark portal that formed under him. A voice is heard from inside.

“Almost forgot this.” Shadow sensei’s voice is heard.

~A few blocks away~

Frexien continues to carry Karina all the way to the hospital which is 10 blocks away. He remains quiet through the entire walk, only looking down at her with sadness in his eyes. His skin color slowly fades back to its original light tan color.

“So you’re slowly turning back to normal Frexien.” Shadow sensei says as he walks out of a shadow portal and continues to walk by Frexien. Frexien remains quiet, looking at Shadow without turning his head.

“It’s… it’s my fault she got hurt. I got careless and she ended up like this because of it.” Frexien says in a low tone. Shadow sensei looks at him with a concerned look.

“Frexien you shouldn’t blame yourself for this. One it’s not like you to blame yourself like that, and two Damon is a lowlife that doesn’t fight fairly. He would do anything to stay alive. Not like he can die anyways but he hates feeling pain. He could’ve teleported anyone but he saw that you cared for her a bit and chose her. Little did he or anyone actually know you would’ve reacted in such a way?” Shadow sensei tries to comfort Frexien.

“Yea but if I had just waited a little longer and observed him a little more this wouldn’t have happened. I don’t know how I’m going to face her if she ever wakes up again.” Frexien says while getting teary eyed.

“You’ll think of something. Hopefully there’s no permanent damage. From the looks of it she didn’t get hit too hard. Just enough to severely hurt her and knock her out.” Shadow sensei replies.

“Yea cause that’s gunna make me feel better.” Frexien replies sarcastically.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean it the way it sounded. Anyways we’re here. Let’s get her inside quickly. After all this let’s meet up somewhere. There’s something’s I want to discuss with you.” Shadow sensei tells Frexien as he walks on ahead inside the hospital to get things situated for Karina. Frexien walks inside and sees that Shadow already brought over a gurney to take Karina to a roon. Frexien gently sets Karina’s body onto it and the doctor leads them to a treatment room.

“Sorry young man but you’ll have to wait outside.” The doctor instructs Frexien. “You can either wait here or head over to the cafeteria down the hall.” Frexien stares at him blankly and the doctor feels chills run down his spine. He takes a seat next to the door and begins waiting for the doctor to give him the ok to go inside.

“Frexien I’m going to head back to the school to report what happened. I’ll come back shortly okay?” Shadow sensei tells Frexien. Frexien only nods at Shadow sensei who slowly disperses in shadows. Frexien puts his hands in front of him and prepares for a long wait.

“I hope she’s okay. I can’t lose her. Not now, not when I found someone who is worth fighting for.” He tells himself.
