Recovery

The bell rings at the school and everyone begins getting ready to go home. Sora and Kira along with everyone else meet up in the school courtyard.

“That’s strange. The principal didn’t make an announcement about what happened. Everyone is scared over the situation.” Nala points out sounding a bit suspicious. They all begin walking over to the gates. “You would think they would announce something like that.”

“Yea this is something major. You would think they would say something. I mean people could’ve gotten hurt.” There’s a slight pause before Zero says anything else. “Well I mean… other than… well you know.” He says while looking down.

“Hey cheer up a bit. It’s like Frexien always says- don’t get to worked up over something cause it’ll only make things worse. Well something along those lines.” Sora says while trying to force a smile. Kira grabs Sora’s hand tightly with a worried look on her face.

“Can we get going now? I’m really worried about the both of them.” Kira asks Sora. He nods and they all begin to walk towards the hospital. The walk there is quiet. It takes then about thirty minutes to get there. They all walk inside and head over to the nurse at the desk.

“Excuse me, could you tell me what room Karina is in?” Zero asks the nurse.

“Friends of the patient? Give me a sec.” The nurse says, sounding slightly annoyed. Zero looks at everyone and makes a ‘what’s her problem’ face. They all giggle and the nurse looks at them with a glare. “She is in room 35A on the second floor.”

“Thank you.” Zero says as they all hurry off towards the elevator. “Man she was a bit grouchy wouldn’t you say?”

“Yea. It’s pretty rude. I wonder how she got a job here.” Nala says while Roman puts his arm around her.

“People like that are just messed up. I wonder how people stand that.” Roman adds on. They all reach the elevator and Roman presses the button. The doors open immediately and they all step inside. They all wait inside patiently for the elevator to reach the second floor which doesn’t take too long. The doors open again and they step out looking for the room which Karina is in.

“Oh it really is you guys. I felt a familiar presence coming by and figured it was you guys. My aura powers are still a bit… ‘Glitchy’.” Frexien says sounding a bit more relaxed than he did when he was talking to Shadow sensei. His hair was still black and he still had fangs which showed up every time he talked. “They still haven’t let me back in the room but they say she is doing ok.”

“Sounds like you’re doing better yourself. It’s good to hear that Karina is ok.” Nala tells him as she sighs in relief.

“Just a little better.” Frexien replies. He looks around a bit. “Hmm where’s Sophie? I’m sure she would have come here with you guys. Did something happen to her too?” He gets a worried look on his face. Nala and Kira both look down a bit ashamed over the argument they caused earlier with Sophie.

“She might stopped by later so don’t worry about it.” Sora quickly adds. The girls look slightly annoyed but they quickly look up and turn towards her room.

“The doctor says we would be able to go in later on. He didn’t really say what time though.” Frexien says as he looks at the door. “I’ve been wandering the hospital a bit while I wait for them to let me in, checking in every ten minutes. I’ve found some nice places in here.”

“Well if they won’t let us in now we may as well go relax somewhere.” Roman says while putting his arms behind his head.

“Yea sounds like a plan. Actually I’m kinda hungry, let’s go to the cafeteria and have some lunch.” Nala suggests. They all nod in agreement and head down the hall towards the cafeteria.

“So Frexien, how you feeling?” Nala asks him as she walks closer to him. He looks up with a forced smile.

“Not too good really but I am doing better than I was earlier.” Frexien tells her. He walks ahead of everyone and goes to a far end to grab a table as everyone goes to get some food. They all sit at the round white table that seemed large enough to fit them all. Hours go by before the doctor comes by to inform them how things are going.

“Frexien is it?” The doctor asks.

“Yes what is it doctor?” Frexien responds to the doctor. He gets up and stands next to him.

“The patient has been asking for you for a while now. She is completely stable and should make a full recovery in a few days. At the moment though she is resting but if you would like to wait inside the room you can.” The doctor informs Frexien, whose facial expression completely changed into a more happy excited one. There’s a moment of silence and everyone sits around looking confused at Frexien. “Young man are you ok?” The doctor asks Frexien who is just standing there with a dumb looking smile. The doctor goes to grab his shoulder but his hand goes right through him. No one expected that to happen and yelled out in fright.

“That was sudden!” Kira screams out. “He really should warn someone when he does that.”

“What would be the fun in that though?” Roman asks her jokingly.

Frexien appears a few feet away from the door to Karina’s room. His expression changes completely from happy to nothing. His plain normal expression was glaring ferociously at the person in front of him.

“What do you want?” Frexien asks the person in front of him.

“Why should I tell you?” A familiar voice says. “You and that damn expression! I came here to resettle things from before. I hear little miss whatever her name is got herself blown the hell up. Came here to finish the job. But now that you’re here I can kill two birds with one stone.” Vector’s cold voice says over to Frexien. Frexien’s eye twitched a bit when Vecter mentioned Karina being hit.

“If I recall correctly you had to go into your life energy form, which was really stupid on your part. Plus all my friends are here so there are no way you can win even if you do reuse that form. Which might end up killing you this time I might add.” Frexien remains calm as he talks to Vector. Deep down Frexien wants to rip him to shreds for saying what he did and for what he is trying to do.

“They won’t be interfering with us. I made sure of that.” Vector finishes by snapping his fingers. A huge wall of black flames rises up from behind Frexien and materializes into a see through wall. Frexien’s friends reach the wall moments later.

“Frexien!” Kira and Nala yell out.

“Looks like I have no choice. You guys stay back. Ill handle him. But not here.” Frexien says, as he looks over at Vector.
