The Search for Shadow

The Search for Shadow.

Karina punches Frexien’s arm.

“Ow what was that for!?” Frexien yells out.

“You said you weren’t gunna swear anymore!”

Frexien’s face gets blank.

“S-sorry blame that guy.” Frexien points at Vecter. Vecter gets an annoyed look.

“Oiy don’t blame shit on me!” Vecter yells at Frexien.

“Oh shut up and do something already!” Everyone chuckles a bit.

“Why you little…” Vecter gets cut off by receiving a blast from one of Frexien’s push attacks to the side of his face. He gets sent flying off the stairs of the entrance and into some bushes off to the side.

“That was sudden.” Zero comments.

“Yea like seriously.” Roman adds on.

“Well we’re in a hurry and he’s really annoying.” Frexien responds to them with a smug expression.

“That really hurt!” Vecter yells out from the bushes.

 Frexien looks at the bushes with an annoyed look. Suddenly a blast of black flames shoot out from the bushes and head straight towards Frexien. He just stands there with a blank expression, only lifting up his hand towards the coming flames. The flames impact his hand and swirl around it for a few seconds. The black flames slowly fade to purple and Frexien smirks.

“I use fire magic too y’know.” Frexien’s smirk turned into a smile.

The flames got bigger and brighter as he went to send it back at Vecter who is now standing over the bushes looking at Frexien. As Frexien threw the flames back at him they form a dragon’s head. Vecter jumps off to the left just barely dodging the dragon. Frexien’s eye twitched as he gave out a small chuckle. He stretched out his hand, making the dragon flame expand slightly then explode. Vecter was sent flying towards the wall surrounding the school.

“I really don’t have time for this. I haven’t been able to try this out but it’s a little something I picked up from watching Shadow do his teleporting magic.” Frexien focused his attention on where Vecter landed and pointed his palms towards him. A small black ball starts to form at the center and grows slightly bigger. “Go away for a bit will you!” He pushes the ball right at Vecter who had just enough time to recover and jump up out of the way. He landed on the wall above him.

“You missed!”

“Think again! The technique isn’t exactly like Shadows and I added a bit of my own spin to it but it should get the job done.” Frexien smirks. The black ball grows even bigger and starts sucking up the air around it. The suction gets stronger and stronger and Vecter has trouble resisting on the wall. He slips and falls in the black ball.

“What is this!?”

“I’m sending you away for a bit. Don’t worry the magic is set to wear off and bring you back in a few hours.” Frexien puts on a smug expression.

“What do you mean sending me away? You bastard where are you sending me!?”

“I don’t really know myself. Like I said I never really tried this out before. I don’t even know if you’re actually coming back or not. Not that I care or anything.” Frexien turns around and begins walking towards the school again. “You guys coming?”

“You sure that was okay?” Nala asks him.

“Eh he’ll be fine. I was only bluffing about not knowing if he’s coming back or not.”

Roman and Sora laugh a bit then also begin walking towards the school. Vecter screams out then gets fully sucked into the portal to who knows where.

The group now walking through the doors of the school head straight for the main office which is down the main hall. They head inside and ask the on duty secretary if she knew how to reach Shadow sensei’s house.

“It’s for a project and we need a bit of help with it.” Zero lied. Everyone kept a serious expression.

“He actually lives down five blocks from here in a giant apartment complex. If you wanna find him head there. You won’t miss it.” The secretary tells the group.

“Thank you very much.” The group thanks her in unison. They all head out quickly and begin walking towards the apartment complex that they can surprisingly see from the school.

“Wow that place is huge!” Sora yells out!

“It really is. Come one lets head towards it already.” Frexien said sounding a bit eager. He walked slightly faster than the group this time. Karina, slightly left behind, runs up to him and jumps on his back, wrapping her arms around his neck.

“Slow down silly.” Karina tells him in his ear.

“Sorry, got a bit too into it you little hitch hiker.” Frexien playfully replies. He smiles a bit then holds her up and piggy backs her. She rest her head on his shoulder.

“Why aren’t you like that Roman?” Nala questions him.

“Yea Sora why aren’t you like that?” Kira questions Sora. Zero laughs a bit. Sora and Roman get nervous looks on their faces.

They all laugh and continue walking. Eventually they all reach the apartment building which is extremely big. Frexien’s eyes flare up and bright purple color.

“Jeeze there’s a LOT of people in there. Really strong people.” Frexien stares at the building with awe.

“Well we better get started on the search then. That secretary didn’t tell us which floor he lived on.” Nala tells Frexien.

“I don’t know what good my aura power is going to do us in this mess of power. We should split up and search different floors.”

“Right!” The group yells out.

They all head inside and stand in the lobby staring at the really high ceiling and the giant chandelier in the middle of it. They all head towards the giant stairs in the middle of the lobby. Each floor they reached two of them would pair up and begin searching. Obviously Sora and Kira went together, Nala and Roman, Frexien and Karina, and Zero went on his own.

“This place is huge. It might be a while before we find Shadow.” Karina tells Frexien.

“Its fine it should be too long before we track him down. Look at the doors. They have the person that’s living in the apartments name on it.” Frexien points at the doors.

“Well let’s take our time then.” Karina puts on an evil smirk before takling Frexien down and landing on top of him.
