Welcome Home

“Alright alright guys get off Zero’s back for a while.” Shadow says, sounding apologetic. Rami smile at Shadow then looks at Frexien, who still has Mata clinging onto his back.

“So what should we do today? Since it is your last day here.” Rami looks slightly down with a bit of disappointment in his voice.

“Actually we gotta get going now. Frexien made me realize that I’m going to be in a lot of trouble when we get back” Shadow squints a bit then turns around. “If you guys are going to say goodbye, now is the time.” His voice seemed to be mainly directed to Frexien. No one else noticed but Frexien.

“Whaaaaa?! Already?” Both Mata and Rami say simultaneously. Mata slowly drops off Frexien’s back. She tugs on his arm.

“Can’t you stay just a little longer?” Mata looks up at Frexien with tears forming in her eyes. Frexiens eyes turn blue.

“I…I’m sorry Mata. We really do need to get going. Don’t worry though I’m sure this won’t be the last time we see each other I promise” Frexien tells Mata who is now fully crying. Frexien kneels down and hugs her. He looks up to see Rami with his arms crossed looking away from Frexien and Mata at the sky with tears in his eyes. “Hey Rami don’t be sad like I just said I’m sure we’ll see each other again.”

“I’m not sad! I just got something in my eye tis all.” Rami replies as tears begin to fall down his cheeks. Frexien stands up and begins walking over to Rami, Mata walking along side him while holding his hand while rubbing her eye with her free hand.

“Come on don’t hold it in I know how you’re feeling.” Frexien says lowly. Rami burst out crying and clings onto Frexien’s side. Frexien kneels and both Mata and Rami are crying on him. A few minutes go by and both Rami and Mata end up leaning on Frexien asleep. Zero was sitting a few feet away from them.

“Hey it’s time to go.” Zero tells him in a low voice. Frexien nods. He looks at the twins and focuses on them a bit. His eyes glow a faint purple and Mata and Rami begin to slowly rise. He carries them with his magic over to the house and lays them on a nearby bed. He gives them one last look before heading out.

“Take care guys” Frexien smiles then walks out of the house. He walks over to Shadow and Zero with a concerned look. “Shadow are they going to be okay by themselves while you take us back?”

“Yea we’re in a whole other dimension. There’s no real danger here” Shadow smiles at him and turns. “Alright ready to go?” They both nod. Shadow raises his arms and a dark wall rises like it did before they came here.

“Not again?!” Frexien and Zero yell out.

“What? It’s the only way to get home.” Shadow replies sounding smug. Both Zero and Frexien put on worried looks but reluctantly walk forward towards it.

“Fine but if something goes wrong it’s on your head?” Zero tells Shadow with a glare.

“Yea yea now let’s get going.” Shadow replies again sounding a bit annoyed. The doors on the wall open and they get sucked in. They float through the darkness in silence.

“So far so good.” Frexien thinks to himself. A bright light begins to shine a few meters ahead of them and it slowly grows as they get closer.

“Good job Shadow, no screw ups this time.” Zero jokingly tells Shadow. Shadow remains quiet as he focuses. The trio head into the light which blinds them for a bit. Frexien’s eyes adjust to the light and he sees that Zero and Shadow are nowhere to be found.

“Great, he screwed up again.” Frexien puts on a dull expression. He looks around and notices he’s in a desert like area.

“No one messed anything up. I brought you here on purpose brother.” A deep voice says from behind Frexien. Frexien’s eyes grow wide at the mention of the word ‘brother’. He turns around and notices there’s a giant rock formation that seems to be as big as a two story house. He looks up and sees a hooded figure looking down at him with glowing green eyes.
