Chapter 10

The next morning, they all gathered up as Five and Lila finally came back from the commission.

As they drank together, they were all informed about the Kugelblitz, that was brought by the paradox they created as they went to this timeline.

"What did we miss?" Diego asked, as he came back with Klaus and Stanley.

"The universe is ending, and we're all going to die." Lila replied.

Suddenly, Lilith felt a familiar, yet stronger surge of energy as it was followed up with screaming, as the the people that were previously there just disintegrated.

Lilith looked around her, horrified.

"What the hell was that?" Diego asked.

"That was a kugel wave.. Oh it's getting worse." Five worryingly informed.

"How long do we have?" Luther asked.

"At this rate of escalation if you factor in--" He says as he got cut off by Lilith.

"Just get to the point, damn it!" Lilith yelled at Five as he looked back at her.

"Four, maybe five days before the rest of existence is blitzed." He sighed, as Lilith looked at him, mouth agape.

The siblings then talked about the Sparrow's plan for them to work together to save the world, as they found out that Klaus knew where the Kugelblitz is, which is apparently in the academy's basement.

As they think of a plan, it was suggested to give Harlan to the Sparrows as both Viktor and Lilith defended him.

But, seeing that they also really needed the Sparrow's help to finally be able to save the world and many people's lives are at risk, Lilith was torn by the situation.

"You always wanted to be on the team." Luther told Viktor, as Lilith looked at him then at Viktor with furrowed eyebrows.

"This is what it is. Saving the world means making the hard calls."

The siblings were all spread apart as they found out that Viktor let Harlan go, and Lilith stayed with Five and Klaus at the lobby to drink with them.

The two started talking about how they saw theirselves die, as Lilith just listened to both of them talk at the same time.

"I would like to excuse myself.." A tipsy Lilith suddenly spoke, as she got off the chair and left her shot glass. As the two sent their goodbyes to her.

She left the hotel, looking at the mess around her.

"I guess we'll die soon." She says as she wandered off.

Soon she found herself at the door step of the academy, but then came back to her senses and thought to herself, "Why am I even here?"

She immediately walked away, but decided to sit by one of the trees near the academy, but hidden just so nobody inside the academy could see her but she didn't notice the raven that had been watching her.

As expected, she fell asleep by the tree, both from exhaustion and the alcohol intake.

After quite a bit, still half asleep, she's awoken by a presence approaching her.

It was Ben Hargreeves.

Somehow, his eyes were looking at her softer than what she remembered it looking.

But realizing that he really is there and not just a pigment of her imagination, she instantly stood up, looking at him in shock.

Then, his demeanor is back to the same old asshole Ben that he is. It's probably the alcohol, she thought to herself.

"Why are you here?" He asked sternly.

"I'm just here to.. have fresh air. That's all." She says, obviously lying.

He squinted his eyes at her and sighed.

"Yeah, fresh air. On a tree near the academy. Okay." He sarcastically replied as Lilith sighed, knowingly.

"You should come inside. The big guy is there too." He says as he walked back to the academy, Lilith followed right after as she looked at him confused.
