taecyeon rolled on his bed, unable to go to sleep. it was 3 in the morning, but he still didn't feel sleepy. he picked up his phone and opened it. he had been getting notifications for the past 15 minutes, but he hadn't felt like checking them. now that he had opened his phone, he scanned through the notifications. he entered his password and went to Instagram. seeing that he had 7 unread messages. all from one person.

taecyeon and dong-yeon were different in many ways. dong-yeon was outgoing but also soft and calm, sweet and polite, quiet and he loved reading books. taecyeon on the other hand, was dark, sometimes cruel, used to be the typical gamer boy (still loves playing games), and always was the bad boy of every school, college and university he went to, becoming popular with his cunning personality and sharp features.

"what are you doing?" taecyeon asked, coming behind him.

he turned around. "oh hyung! s-sorry, i d-didn't see you c-coming." he stammered. he was always afraid of his big brother. goodness knows what he could do to him.

"what are you making?" he asked again.

"ramen." he replied. "would you like to have some?"

"sure." he said.

minutes later, they were sitting at the round oak table in taecyeon's kitchen, eating their ramen.

"oh by the way, hyung." dong-yeon said. "gold-leaf bank wants to invest. what should we do?"

"gold leaf? you mean those bastards who almost made my business fall down? no, thanks." taecyeon said.

"true. but they also have some very famous politicians working and supporting them. don't you think our sales and stuff will increase if we invest with them?" dong-yeon suggested.

taecyeon looked at him. "i can see that being the fake CEO of my business has clearly made you think a lot more seriously about things." he said.

dong yeon shrugged. "i should do whatever is best for your company, right?"

"don't let them invest. they could bring serious trouble to my company and then blame me for it." taecyeon said.

"but don't you think-"

"dong-yeon, enough." taecyeon said. "just do what i say."

dong yeon looked down. "y-yes of course. i'm sorry."

"you know, dong yeon." taecyeon said. "just because i let you pretend that you're the fake CEO of my company, letting you speak speeches that i'm supposed to speak, doesn't mean you can do whatever you want. i hate to admit it to you, but im just a tad bit smarter than you, so i guess i could handle things better. so you need to listen to what i say, and do what i tell you to do. don't try any dumb gimmicks. got it?"

"y-yeah. of course." dong yeon said. "how did your meeting with joong-ki go?"

taecyeon stopped eating his ramen.

"it went....good."

"well thats certainly very good news, right?" dong yeon said. taecyeon nodded.

"hyung, please don't be mad at me, but.....does joong-ki feel the same way?" dong yeon asked.

"you knew?"

"of course i knew."

"......."

"does he?"

"no."

dong yeon looked at him. "oh, thats so sad. why doesn't he like a guy like you? i bet there are lots of fangirls out there who-"

"he's not a fangirl, dong yeon."

"yeah but still how could he not like such a cool guy like you? its so-"

"dong yeon stop acting." taecyeon said sharply. "i know you're scared to death of me."

"w-what? n-no! why would i be s-scared of m-my own big brother?"

"you're stuttering now. you stutter every time i speak to you. clearly shows that you're scared of me." taecyeon said.

yeah why would i not be scared of a goddamn psychopath who got diagnosed as the age of fucking sixteen?! and that too my own brother? use your damn common sense. dong yeon though.

"good question." taecyeon said.

"w-what question?" dong yeon asked.

"why would i not be scared of a psychopath. that question. its a good one. let me know when you know the answer." taecyeon said.

"b-but i didn't ask that." dong yeon said.

taecyeon turned to him after putting the plates in the sink. "i know what you're thinking. don't try to fool me."

he walked out of the kitchen. dong yeon stared after him. he had always been living in fear of his big brother. he threw glasses at dong yeon for nothing. he was like his punching bag, and dong yeon hated it. he hated how he could not even breathe without being scared.

he had enough.

he was gonna tell joong-ki.

and for once, he didn't care what would happen to him.

he had to tell someone.

anyone.

and that someone was joong-ki.
